💙 Dads, Your Support Matters – Caring for Your Partner 💙

Becoming a parent is a team effort, and your role in supporting your partner is just as important as caring for your baby. Here are some ways you can help:
✅ Before Birth
• Be involved in appointments and birth plans.
• Offer emotional support and listen to their concerns.
✅ After a Caesarean Section
• Help with physical tasks like lifting and household chores.
• Encourage rest and recovery — healing takes time.
✅ Supporting Mental Health
• Talk openly and check in regularly.
• Watch for signs of post-natal depression: persistent sadness, withdrawal, or feeling overwhelmed.
• If you notice these signs, encourage seeking professional help — early support makes a big difference.

💡 Tip: Your care and understanding can ease stress and strengthen your bond as a family.

This month's book is Find Spot at the Library 🐶📖

Try extending the fun by helping your child make their very own book using clean food wrappers, labels, or packaging from around the house?
🛒✂️ Let them stick, talk about, and tell stories using the pictures they choose.

Don't have this book at home? why not pop in to your local Inspire Nottinghamshire Libraries to read together or take home with you.

You can see if that book is available by visiting: https://nottslibraries.inspireculture.org.uk❤️

🤗Supports baby brain development.
A loving touch and talking to baby will help wire connections in baby’s brain. Building a secure and loving relationship.
Early sounds and eye contact help with memory and language skills in later life.

Connection through cuddling reduces stress hormones in baby and mum. This supports healthy brain development and infant mental health.

📚🚌 Share books with me!🧸💬

Let your child choose a book and enjoy looking at it together! Reading doesn't always mean reading every word on the page. Talking about the pictures is a great way to build communication skills. 💬

Try commenting on what you can see: 👉 "It's a snake!" 👉 "The bird is flying." 👉 "Wow, what a big elephant!"

These simple conversations help children learn new words, understand sentences, and begin to make sense of stories. They also support attention, listening skills, and a lifelong interest in books. ❤️📚

📚 Sharing books builds imagination, communication and bonding.

Why not make time for a story today and see where your child's imagination takes you?

Childcare can be expensive, but there’s support available to help families manage the cost.

Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to get:
✅ 15 or 30 hours of funded childcare for eligible working parents
✅ Funded early education for 2-year-olds
✅ Tax-free childcare to help pay towards childcare costs
✅ Support through Universal Credit

These options can make a real difference to your family budget – and many parents don’t realise they qualify.
