Today the children (well those who were feeling creative 😂) made bug hotels. We then nipped over to the park to get some leaves, grass, sticks, flowers and whatever else we could find for the bugs new homes. Lexie even found some tree sap!

We’ve had some cosy den monitors today who have been in charge of making sure the den is kept clean and tidy and that everyone sticks to the rules.
Everyone will get a turn and the children are all so excited for their turn to wear their chosen lanyard 🥰

Ways we will ensure your child stays cool: 😎
* Your child will have constant access to the water station as usual. However it will have lots of reusable ice cubes in. 🧊
* Ice poles will be available throughout the day 🍦
* Outdoor play will be limited and when we are outside, your child will be encouraged to use the shaded areas. Your child will NOT be playing out without suncream as stated on our policies, your contract and the reminder sent out yesterday via WhatsApp 🧴
* Sun hats must be worn outside 👒 🧢
* Children will have access to a fan inside. Sleeping children will have priority of the fan while settling for a nap 😴
* Cold flannels are available if children get too hot 🥵
* Lots of water play will be available both indoor and outdoor so please remember the spare clothes! 👚👕🩲
Please also consider my lovely staff who work hard every day to provide fun and enjoyable activities to keep your little ones entertained. They have been told they do not have to wear uniform this week as the polo tops are quite thick (and I may just drench them with my water sprayer anyway 😜) Also our menu may be changed to avoid staff being in the kitchen too long. What’s for dinner will be on the notice board each day.
Happy half term everyone!

⚠️ Urgent warning for parents from Nottinghamshire Trading Standards ⚠️
❌ Please do not microwave squishy toys!
A dangerous social media trend is urging children to put silicone squishy toys in the microwave, to make them softer and more pliable. Please don’t let them do it.
‼️ The toys get dangerously hot inside, even though they remain cool on the outside. If squeezed they can explode, spraying boiling gel and leading to severe burns, hospital admissions, and lasting scars.
🗣️ Please talk to children about these risks and share this message to keep others safe.

Before, during and after (well nearly). Imagine beige painted walls and a nice little book shelf 🥰
