As the school year comes to an end, I’d like to reflect on what a fantastic year it has been for our Garden.
The children have been busy throughout the seasons, getting hands-on with a variety of exciting gardening projects. We grew pumpkins, planted and cared for our Christmas tree, and took part in our sunflower-growing competition using seeds kindly donated by Holybeck Garden Centre. It has been wonderful to watch the children nurture their plants and see the garden transform as the seasons changed.
Despite the heatwaves, the children showed great enthusiasm, helping to water, care for the plants, and keep the garden looking its best. They thoroughly enjoyed getting their hands dirty, learning new skills, and seeing the results of their hard work.
A huge thank you goes to Holybeck Garden Centre for their continued support and generosity.
Finally, I would like to say a massive thank you to all of our amazing adult volunteers. Your dedication to watering the garden after school, at weekends, and throughout the holidays has been invaluable. Without your time and commitment, our garden simply wouldn’t have flourished as it has done.
