TinyTalk Baby & Toddler Signing Nottingham - West Learn to communicate with your baby before they can talk. Communication is key, it's never too early to start. Do come along and join the fun!

Baby classes suitable from birth to 18m, toddler 18m-4yrs At TinyTalk we believe that sign language encourages early communication. To understand and to be understood is fundamental to our well-being and our sense of self. Signing provides a way of introducing language to pre-verbal children, enabling them to make a sense of the world. This early and explicit start in language development also hel

ps early speech. We learn a few BSL signs each week on a theme such as meals or bedtime or the park then sign along to lots of fun nursery rhymes. Babies & toddlers love the music, actions, puppets, toys, instruments and books. Parents & grandparents love learning something new to help them communicate with their babies before they can talk and everyone loves the social time and refreshments. The classes are really welcoming and fun and when your baby starts signing that they want their milk or has seen a bird it is absolutely amazing.

The Autumn Term has officially begun. 🍂

I’m throwing it back to this Party Hat set up from Wollaton because there’s plenty more party fun coming this term... Ted’s Party is one of our themes! 🧸🎉

There’s something so lovely about the first week back—seeing familiar faces again, meeting our brand-new TinyTalkers and getting back to singing, signing and having fun together.

Today we kicked things off in Beeston, tomorrow it’s Wollaton’s turn, followed by Toton on Thursday. 💜

Everything we do is designed to support communication and language development while making learning fun. ✨

And remember, you don’t need to have been to TinyTalk before to join us. You can start at any point during the term!

A brand-new TinyTalk term starts tomorrow and I’m so excited to welcome everyone back. 💜

There will be familiar faces, brand-new families and probably a few little ones who have changed SO much since I last saw them!

If it’s your first week, please don’t worry about whether your little one will sit still, join in with everything or decide to nap through half the class.

There’s no pressure here.

Come in, get comfortable and enjoy your class together. 🥰

You don't need to sit down and have a “signing session” at home to practise your signs.

The easiest way for your little one to learn is to weave signs into things you're already doing every day.

🥛 MILK when offering milk

🍽️ FOOD at mealtimes

🛁 BATH before getting in

📚 BOOK when choosing a story

😴 BED at bedtime

Say the word as you make the sign, then simply carry on with your day.

Once your little one is starting to understand a sign, you can gradually add another one in. You don't need to remember them all at once!

Little and often is much easier than trying to remember and incorporate lots of signs all at once. 💜

Ever wondered where I keep ALL those colourful TinyTalk mats between classes? 😂

This is actually supposed to be my bin shed... except there's currently no room for the bins because TinyTalk has completely taken over! 💜
This weekend they'll all be coming back out ready for the Autumn Term next week!

I’m SO ready to get back to singing, signing and seeing everyone again. 🥰

💜 "The highlight of her week."

There really is no better compliment than hearing that TinyTalk has become part of a family's weekly routine.

I put so much thought into every class—from the songs we sing and the signs we learn to the stories, sensory activities and the welcoming atmosphere I hope every family feels as soon as they walk through the door.

Knowing that little ones look forward to coming each week, and that parents enjoy the experience just as much, is exactly why I love what I do.

💜 ✨ Throwback Signing Story ✨

I absolutely love looking back at moments like these. 🥹

Watching little ones use signs to communicate is always so special, and it's amazing to see their confidence grow as they realise they can tell the important people in their lives what they want or need.

Every sign is a little milestone worth celebrating. 💜

It's not about how many signs they know—it's about giving them another way to communicate before and alongside speech, reducing frustration and creating those magical "I know what you're telling me!" moments.

These are the moments that make me love what I do. 🥰

🎉 HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY TO TINYTALK NOTTINGHAM WEST! 🎉

It's been six years since I joined TInyTalk, and I could never have imagined how much becoming a TinyTalk teacher would change my life.

Over the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of welcoming hundreds of families into my classes. I’ve loved creating a safe, relaxed and welcoming space where parents can be themselves, meet other families and enjoy precious time with their little ones. 💜

During that time, I’ve completed both my BSL Level 1 and BSL Level 2 qualifications, helping me continue to develop my knowledge and ensure I’m teaching signs as accurately as possible.

I was incredibly proud to be named Runner-Up for Top TinyTalk Teacher at the TinyTalk Head Office Awards. More recently, I won Nottingham’s Most Loved Activity Leader for Toddlers and Preschoolers at the 2026 Nottingham Baby and Toddler Awards—an achievement that meant so much because it was supported by the wonderful families in my classes. 🏆

But the moments that mean the most will always be watching babies use their first signs, seeing toddlers grow in confidence and witnessing friendships develop between families.

TinyTalk has genuinely changed my life. I absolutely love my job and feel incredibly lucky that I get to do something I’m so passionate about. Thank you to every family who has attended, recommended my classes, voted for me, supported my business or simply cheered me on along the way.

Here’s to six wonderful years of TinyTalk Nottingham West—and hopefully many more! 🥰
