🔬✨ Teaching STEM is all about bringing learning to life.

That’s what makes these subjects so exciting to teach - every lesson is a chance to spark curiosity, ask questions and show how science, maths, computing and technology shape everyday life.

If you’re passionate about your subject and want to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators, STEM teaching could be the perfect path for you.

Applications still open for Autumn: https://inspiringleadersscitt.com/apply-now/

🏃 Last weekend, some of our trainees laced up their trainers and took part in parkrun to mark Mental Health Awareness Week!

Over in Gedling, our Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Secondary Hub Lead Marie was joined by trainees Ayesha and Kaci. Meanwhile in Chesterfield, trainee Nathan and his Professional Tutor Troy did the Park Run together.

A brilliant effort from everyone involved - we love seeing our Inspiring Leaders community come together outside of school too! 💚

We’re continuing to mark by sharing more reflections and wellbeing tips from colleagues across our SCITT community 💚

This year’s theme, Action, reminds us that small everyday steps can have a positive impact on mental health.

🎶 Our Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Primary cohort were definitely in tune during last week’s music session!

From finding their rhythm to exploring fun ways to bring music into the classroom, our trainees got stuck in and hit all the right notes ✨

🫶 It’s , and for teachers especially, looking after our mental health really matters.

This year’s theme is Action, focusing on the small, practical things we can do to support our wellbeing.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing simple tips and personal reflections from our team - the everyday actions they take to protect their mental health.

We hope it sparks a few ideas and reminds you to take a moment for yourself too 💙
