Fantastic yoga class this evening with Jade Diaz!

JANUARY GUEST TEACHER (Jan 23rd) Jade Diaz

Jade is a qualified and very experinced Yoga teacher whho completed foundation training with the Yoga guardian Ana Forrest and assisted her with workshops in Singapore and Hong Kong. She then went on to learn with instructors in Stott Pilates and Mat Reformer classes.

Owning her own Wellness/Pilates studio for 3 years before coming back to the UK in 2016, Jade had the experience of traing actors and in particular: Benedict Wong and Joan Chen.

Great end to a fantastic first year at The Acting Studio! Open workshop, performances and monologue finals with Jaques Lecoq graduate Sean Croft! Roll on 2020!

Ex-student Daisy Fairclough, will be with us on Thursday 12th, to adjudicate our Advanced monologue heats before the finals on Dec 22nd. Daisy who has numerous Stage and TV and film roles, (including The Watermill Theatre Newbury, Chichester Festival Theatre, The Barbican London and for the BBC, SKY TV and Channel 4 has also just finished shooting a pilot for Amazon Prime.

Looking forward to welcoming Jaques Lecoq practitioner, Sean Croft, back to The Acting Studio on Dec 22nd, to teach another workshop and to adjudicate our monologue finals, in front of an invited audience!

So excited to welcome two guest teachers this month!
OCT 17th: We welcome Lawrence Cole.
Lawrence has recently just graduated from the Actor-Musician course at Rose Bruford. Before attending RB, he had a very successful career as a musician, touring the UK and Europe, playing Glastonbury and other major festivals and released a top 40 Album, as well as appearing in an episode of E4's SKINS.
OCT 31st: Frank Simms
Frank, and actor, agent and director, trained on the musical theatre course at ARTS ED LONDON. Since graduating he has consistently built his career across stage and screen, from 'Singing in the Rain' to Chekovs 'Uncle Vanya". When not performing Frank also works as an agent for Ashrow Talent Management, leading the graduate recruitment side of the business.

Pleased to announce that ex-student Hannah Fairclough will be joining the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in their production of The Boy in the Dress from the book by David Walliams adapted by Mark Ravenhill. With music by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers the production will be directed by RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran. Hannah has started rehearsals for the musical whilst still appearing in Evita at The Regents park open air theatre, before going to Stratford-upon-Avon in November.

Great first workshop of the new term, with recent London Academy of music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) student, the lovely Mercedes Assad! Mercedes will be making her professional stage debut at The Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester, in October in the new Simon Stephen's play Light Falls!

It's back to class this week, and we 'curtain up' with our September guest teacher, ex-student and recent graduate of LAMDA (London Academy of music and Dramatic Arts) Mercedes Assad.
