Time to be clear about definitions!!
Special Schools are not inclusive, by definition.
This is not an opinion, this is simply a fact.
Inclusion does not mean that people with all different types of disability are present and catered for.
Again, this is not an opinion. This is simply a fact.
The definition of inclusion is that everyone is present. People with and without disability are welcomed and catered for.
The definition of an inclusive education system is accessible schools where every student can access learning and the supports they need alongside their same age peers, with and without disability.
The definitions are clear, but still people remain confused.
This is really unhelpful for our kids, and we need it to change.
