Sandfield Day Nursery

Starting from September 2024, eligible working parents in England can access 15 hours of government-funded childcare per week for their children from 9 months old. This initiative is part of the largest ever expansion of free childcare in England’s history. The goal is to provide accessible, affordable, and quality childcare to support families. If you’re eligible, you can register for this program, and it will begin in September 2024. Additionally, from September 2025, working parents of children under the age of five will be entitled to 30 hours of government-funded childcare per week. Keep an eye out for application details in the coming months! 😊

Today our toddler room children have enjoyed doing some box modelling 📦🎨👩‍🎨🖌
They really used their imagination and made lots of different things💭
They are now drying ready for the children to take their creations home 😁

The children have enjoyed baking some halloween biscuits this morning. They enjoyed measuring out the ingredients and mixing everything together. They then rolled out the dough and picked out a halloween cutter and made their biscuit. They are now going to bake in the oven and the children are going to decorate them once they are cooked 😃🎃👻🍪

On Friday 17th November we will be joining in with children in need. Please feel free to dress your child in something pudsey, yellow or spotty and donate if you can 😃 Any questions then feel free to speak to your child’s key worker!

This morning the children enjoyed a trip to the library. We picked out some new books to bring back to nursery and we joined in with the signing session which all the children enjoyed. One of the children also got to wear a birthday hat and everyone else at the library sang happy birthday to her 🥳 The children had lots of fun and are now back at nursery ready for dinner time 😀
