The University of Manchester Ultimate Frisbee team. Tuesday: 5pm-6pm Sporticipate Sugden Hall B Halcyon is the University of Manchester’s Ultimate Frisbee team.
We compete regularly in BUCS events in the men’s, women’s, and mixed divisions. We’re always open to take in new members so feel free to drop by one of our training sessions, even if you've never played before! Training times for 2021/22 Semester 1:

💜NOTTINGHAM WOMEN’S BEGINNERS 💜 halcyon fielded an amazing team of 7 women at nottingham indoor women’s beginners this sunday! 🥏🫶 we were also the only completely beginners team at the tournament 👶🏽🍼which made for a real challenge to start with for the girls but over the course of the day everyone progressed so well and really got into the move and groove of their first big tournament! 🎉. the girls worked so hard for each other and ultimately came away with some good wins and lots learnt 📚✏️ slide 2 is our woman of the day, she played so well and really took a lead on the pitch 🥹💪🏽. slide 3 is our dick or the day, who kept us laughing and having fun throughout even the toughest matches 🥰. another huge well done to the girls who played!! these are the ones to look out for! lots and lots of purple lurvvvvv 💜💜💜

If you missed our taster sessions at the start of the year, it’s not too late to try Ultimate. Free beginner sessions will be running every Tuesday 5-6pm under the Sporticipate program!

Monday Indoors:
Armitage Main Hall // 18:00 - 19:30
Please wear suitable non-marking trainers, and bring a light and a dark shirt to play in.
Friday Outdoors:
Armitage Pitch E // 19:30 - 21:30
Pitch E is a 3G pitch (artificial grass). Please bring plastic stud boots if you have them and a light and dark shirt to play in.
Training starts from the 23rd September. See the second slide for location details, both training venues are on campus in Fallowfield.

If you’re looking to try something new this september, look no further! We are running free taster sessions during freshers’ week and it’s a great chance to try a new sport in a fun and inclusive environment.
What to bring:
Plenty of water and comfortable shoes to run in, or football boots if you have them (it may be wet so wear shoes you are happy to get muddy)
No signup required, just show up!
We have two open to all sessions, and one session specifically for female-matching players. Drop us a message if you have any questions!

UXON 2024
Last weekend saw Halcyon’s best and brightest embark to Birmingham for University Mixed Outdoor Nationals.
It was an amazing weekend of incredible frisbee, huge team spirit, and a few very memorable slip ups🙈. We had a truly great time and got some sweet photos along the way!
Thank you: Glasgow, Loughborough, Durham, Brunel, Leicester, Sheff, and Cranfield for some awesome games!
