Fig Tree Nursery

We are delighted to begin this half term with some fantastic news...! Fig Tree Nursery was inspected by Ofsted before the half term break and Alhamdulilah we are rated "GOOD". A big Thank you to all the staff for their hardwork and dedication.

There is much to celebrate and be proud of in this report. To mention just a few key headlines; that at Fig Tree Nursery:

😊Children enjoy their time at this welcoming nursery. They quickly engage in a good range of activities that the staff provide for them.

😊Children are greeted enthusiastically by the staff who work with them in their rooms.

😊Children's personal, social and emotional development is supported well by the
staff team. Staff place a strong emphasis on helping children to be polite and well mannered. They use lots of praise, such as 'well done' and 'good job', to
raise children's self-esteem and confidence. Words such as 'please' and 'thank you' are regularly used by children. Additionally, children help to tidy away activities and proudly show off their achievements to staff.

😊Partnerships with parents are strong. Parents comment on how well their children are progressing in their development.

😊Children are well prepared for the next stage of their learning, such as school.

😊Overall, children's communication and language development is supported well.

😊Children’s health is promoted well by staff. They have regular opportunities for outdoor play. Children are offered healthy food, such as fresh fruit, and milk to
drink at snack time.

😊The management have a clear understanding of how the curriculum is to be delivered and implemented by staff to support children's learning.

😊Staff have a secure knowledge and understanding of their role and responsibility to protect children from harm. They complete regular child protection training to keep their knowledge up to date.

Assalamu Alaikum

The children made iftaari plates for their neighbours. We received this lovely picture of the children giving the plate to their neighbour. This will help children understand the importance of sharing and taking care of neighbours. Well done children!

We are creative! We explored EAD by using twigs

We had lots of fun in nursery over these 2 weeks. We had a celebration for our little lockdown heroes, made Mother’s Day cards and had World Book Day Activities

In support of Comic Relief, children wore red today and contributed towards charity
