Congratulations to Professor Kang Nee Ting, Head of School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences at UNM Pharmacy, on receiving the 2025 Chris Hawes Award for Outreach and Education from the Royal Microscopical Society.
Professor Kang Nee Ting receives the 2025 Chris Hawes Award for Outreach and Education by the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS) for her outstanding outreach efforts to bring microscopy to thousands of children in deprived Malaysian communities.
Prof Ting's work include science workshops in rural towns in Sarawak and Sabah (located in Borneo) and receiving attention and funding from the Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and, Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Sarawak. 👏👏👏
