Happy World Health Day All!
Did you know that today is World Health Day?
From the youngest age, children begin to think about their own health and that of others around them.
We love supporting our children to develop healthy habits from the youngest of ages. We are fortunate to have our talented Chef , Jayne on site, to prepare us a range of home cooked, fresh meals each day.
We have lots of outside spaces to enjoy - the bark park is perfect for adventure play, our courtyard play area is soft surfaced for the teeniest of pre walking feet and partially covered too, our grassed area is perfect for all types of play and games and our woodland ideal for forest school or tranquil, calming nature spotting. The children are currently looking at all the signs of Spring - with lots of planting and growing activities.
Through our daily chats and interactions with children we talk about the importance of taking care of our bodies and teeth, good sleep and rest, being mindful and for the past year+ we have been so aware of Coronavirus - we could not be prouder of our children. We think each of our little ones is truly awesome!
World Health Day 2021 On World Health Day, 7 April 2021, we will be inviting you to join a new campaign for a fairer, healthier world.

It's WORLD BOOK DAY - we hope you have enjoyed the day; we certainly have!
So today is a day, not like any other day.
Today it may be a Thursday . . . . but it is World Book Day.
The girls and boys in all the rooms, came dressed up to play . . . today we have had a great time celebrating World Book Day!!
In The Den, we have Little Princess, Zog, Thomas and the Hungry Caterpillar too,
Wonkey Donkey, Gruffalo, Hulk and Bob the Builder (quite a few!) There has been Belle and Cinderella come join us for a play,
whilst Bizz Lightyear, Hulk and Peter Rabbit have appeared throughout the day.
And then there was Where's Wally - truly tricky to find but PJ Masks were here to lend a hand (very very kind!)
Across the room in Squirrels Nest we had Witches and Katie Kitten too, there also was Incy Wincy Spider who jumped on Emily's shoe! There was a Dino from Dinosaur Sleep over and a Dog from the book Rover - it really was a sight, so much fun and happiness from morning to night.
Over in the Main Hall where our littlest friends play, we had an array of characters join us for the day.

Did you know that this week is Children's Mental Health Week? Looking back at what we have done this week - our brilliant staff team has supported the children to express themselves in a variety of ways. This has been by sharing our thoughts and feelings, dancing, drama, storytelling, and arts and crafts too! We are also really blessed to have such great outside areas too. We have space for running around and being busy, an adventure play area for climbing and exploring and a peaceful woodland - the perfect place for sitting and listening to nature!
As a Staff team, we place a high value on supporting children to develop the social and emotional skills that will serve them throughout their lives. We also understand how important being outside is for children and adults too - we LOVE being outside!
The theme of Children's Mental Health Week this year is 'Express Yourself'. The aim is to encourage children to express themselves in a variety of ways.
An important part of this theme is that expressing yourself doesn't mean that you're the best at something. It's all about finding a way to show other people who you are and how you feel. It's about showing how you see the world and finding a way to 'express yourself' which feels good to you. Expressing yourself in a way that's unique to you is a great way to improve mental wellbeing.
This year, Place2Be is encouraging both children and adults to explore the different ways that we can express ourselves. It's time to get creative and express your feelings, thoughts and ideas, through poetry, song, dance, or whatever it is that interests you.
Children’s Mental Health Week 2021 The next Children’s Mental Health Week is taking place on 1-7 February 2021. Next year's theme is Express Yourself.
