Today’s session of story planning about a family going on an adventure in a hot air balloon …. BUT, mum dropped her ‘Mum medal’ (you know, just because all mums deserve to wear a mum medal for being awesome!’ so a stop in the jungle to search for it amongst the vines and dangerous animals was needed!!!

Meet Me Monday

Who am I?
Emma, or Teacher Emma as I am often called by my students!

What Qualifications do I have?
I qualified as a Primary Teacher in 2010, then having spent 10 years in the classroom, in the past few years I set up my tuition business.

What do I do?
As a primary-trained teacher, my main focus is working with primary-aged students. However, recently, my expertise has expanded to teaching up to Y9s, particularly as I have found that where students struggle to cope with Y10/11 and exams, it is due to gaps in their learning stemming from Primary School days.

Where do I teach?
Most of my teaching takes place in my own 'Emma's Classroom', face-to-face. I converted our garage into my classroom and still to this day, resources, books and the learning environment continues to grow and develop based upon needs.

Do you work 1:1 or in groups?
Currently, most of my students are on a 1:1 basis with a few groups. I have found that both of these options provided mean that tuition becomes accessible to everyone.

How can I get in touch?
Please message me (I'm not good at answering unknown phone calls!) and then we can arrange a chat to discuss your needs. Following this, I like to have an initial 'assessment' session where I can meet your child so I know that we are the right fit - for tuition.

How much?
My sessions start from as little as £20!

When can I start?
As soon as possible! As the school year progresses, enquiries become more regular and I tend to get fully booked by February.

Wow! That summer felt fast! It was like, 2024: Jaaaaaaanuary, Feeeeeeeebruary, Maaaaaaarch, Aaaaaaaapriil, Maaaaaay, Juuuuuuuuune... JulyAugust!!

Anyway, back to sessions this week as it's now back into full swing! Hope they've all survived and are brimming with excitement to be in a new year, with new people and tackle some new learning!

New school start, new school term, new school year! Is it just me or did the summer months seem to fly past... it was like, Januaaaaaaary, Februaaaaaaaaary, Maaaaaaarch, Apriiiiiiiiiiiil, Maaaaaaaay, June-July-August!!!

This is so definitely me!!! 🤣
The bookcase in my classroom is full but as I like to say ‘you can never have too many books!’
