✨ We have received some lovely feedback from our parents! ✨

Here’s what a few of them have shared about our wonderful nursery, providing new families with a glimpse of how fantastic our team is. πŸ€©πŸ’•

We still have places available for September, so if you would like to arrange a visit or discuss a space for your little one, please get in touch via phone or email. We’re here to help!

Our lovely Baby Room Lead Sophie took the ducks home for the weekend so they wasn't lonely πŸ’•

Here they are having their first bath, which they absolutely love πŸ₯🀩 although it does seem to promote their bowels too πŸ™ˆ

They are going to be so missed when they go on Friday 😒

Mighty Monsters are hosting some meet up sessions for children starting school in September. This is a fantastic way for your child to meet some of the other children who will be starting school with them in a fun environment 🀩😊

On Tuesday, we had some eggs delivered by Incredible Eggs so we can take part in a 2 week hatching programme 🀩

Taking part in the duck hatching programme provides all of our children with a wonderful hands-on learning experience full of awe, wonder, and curiosity ✨️

Watching the eggs hatch and caring for the ducklings helps to develop:
πŸ‘‰ empathy
πŸ‘‰ communication and language skills
πŸ‘‰ understanding of the natural world
πŸ‘‰ early scientific thinking through real-life experiences

It also encourages children to ask questions, make observations, and engage in meaningful play-based learning while creating lasting memories and excitement within the setting.

"If children grow up not knowing about nature and appreciating it, they will not understand it, and if they don't understand it, they won't protect it, and if they don't protect it, who will?" 'Conserving Wonder', by Sir David Attenborough πŸ’•

We are all so excited to watch them grow over the next week πŸ€©πŸ™Œ

Physical Development

Each week throughout the term, we welcome Coach Nathan from Mini Athletics Nottingham and Loughborough into our nursery, who helps to promote physical development for our Nursery Class children πŸ™Œ

Physical development in early childhood is crucial as it helps to build foundational strength, coordination and confidence. This all links directly with the child's cognitive, emotional, and social development, which helps with:

🌟 strengthening gross and fine motor skills
🌟 improving memory, attention, and brain development
🌟 elevating moods, boosting confidence, and encouraging self-regulation
🌟 setting the stage for a healthy lifestyle, reducing the risk of childhood obesity, and strengthening bones and muscles
🌟 building relationships with peers, boosting teamwork and social confidence

πŸ‘‹ Meet the Room Leads πŸ‘‹

🌟 Babies - Sophie 🌟

🌟 Nursery Class - Mavis 🌟

The role of the room leads is to oversee the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring the daily routines are adhered to and helping to create fun, meaningful activities for the children to participate in 🀩

Room leads have a strong understanding of our curriculum, working collaboratively with all staff, parents and other professionals to give our children the best start possible within their Early Years education πŸ’•

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter and got to enjoy the long weekend πŸ°πŸŽ‰

The Easter bunny did a surprise visit to nursery for the adults to take part in a fun hunt around the Toddlers and Tweenies room 🀩

We would love to see what everyone else has been up to over Easter to celebrate πŸ₯³
