🎶 Just the two of us! A few pictures of our brand new Quiet Couple’s Class in action… 📸

Such a great session with this amazing power couple! Curious, open minded foodies who wanted a cooking experience that goes beyond the plate!

A full cultural experience and journey💡

Sneak peak into what they did for the main course…

- In the claypot they learnt how to caramelise sugar as a base so they can stir fried their minced garlic, julienned ginger and fresh pepper corn - full of heat and aromatics 🔥

- They then seared the salmon on top of this base in order get a lovely sear and glaze on the salmon.

- Deglazed the claypot with coconut water for freshness, garnished with spring onion and 🌶️ for colour contrast, to then be braised in the oven 😋.

Served with rice topped with our homemade crispy shallots and oil and a fresh cucumber and tomato salad.

Oof.

This picture was in fact taken in Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City / SAIGON…

NOT 😅.

Did you know that the South of Vietnam never really gets even close to the kind of cold we currently have in the UK?

But actually, if you go to “Sapa” in the North of Vietnam bordering China and Laos (where Scotland would be for us in the UK) you would actually get really cold frost 🥶.

The North of Vietnam (including Hanoi) actually has 4 seasons and you would need warm jackets during colder months 💡.

A Stanley Jug and a new Nespresso machine are on the list for Christmas, we guess… 😄 ☕️ 🎄

But in our opinion, an even cooler, memorable and everlasting experience would be a Vietnamese Cooking Class, where you:

🇻🇳 - Learn, cook and eat amazing fresh Vietnamese recipes, a cuisine that is trending in the UK!

💡 - Enrich yourself and gain an insight on the geography, history, culture and cuisine of Vietnam (Definitely not 9:00 AM lecture vibes).

🤩 - Immerse yourself and experience a tea ceremony and try on our fabulous Long Dresses which are called Áo dài’s!

🎁 - The first batch of cooking classes under our Christmas Calendar is now up on our website! See you then?!

(Nepresso’s are great, but Vietnamese coffee also exists 😉)

Vietcentric’s NEW Specialist Classes!

Our new class with a focus on one of the country’s most beloved dishes—Bánh Xèo, crispy savoury Vietnamese crêpes.

Don’t let the word “specialist” scare you off though!

Even if your only experience with crêpes involves sticking them to the ceiling… our hosts have got you!

Our next class is on the 17th November, 12:00 - 3:00 PM (link in comment section!)

See you there? 🇻🇳😋
