Days 5 & 6 of our Year One Implant Course.

A packed couple of days covering treatment planning, implant selection, surgical protocols, the Straumann Implant System and an introduction to guided bone regeneration.

Alongside the theory, there was plenty of practical work, group discussion and hands-on learning.

Another two days done for our Year One cohort.

Most dentists are taught how to become clinicians. Far fewer are taught how to understand, build and run a dental business.

That’s why we’ve brought Business Education at The Campbell Academy together around three things: understanding your business, building a plan for where you want it to go, and getting the support to follow it.

There isn’t one fixed route. Where you start depends on where your business is now, what you’re trying to build and the level of support you need.

Our Year 1 Implant Course is designed to take you through the foundations of implant dentistry, giving you the knowledge, surgical experience and support to start building your own implant journey.

This is a great example of that progression. Through hands-on clinical experience, mentoring and guidance from the team, they went from having no surgical experience to placing their own implants and developing the skills to take a case from consultation through to restoration.

So, what is Extreme Business now?

Following its move into The Campbell Academy, the foundations of Extreme Business remain the same. The experience, coaching and community built over the last three decades are still at its heart.

What changes is what can now sit around it.

More people, more support and a wider coaching team, bringing together different areas of expertise to support independent practice owners and their leadership teams.

The aim is to build on what already works, while creating an even stronger community and level of support for the years ahead.

A new chapter for business education at The Campbell Academy.

Earlier this year, Extreme Business joined the Academy. Since then, Chris Barrow and the wider team have worked behind the scenes to bring together decades of experience in dental business coaching, education, and running independent dental practices.

Today, we’re excited to share what we’ve been building.

Extreme Business remains the community and coaching programme its members know, now backed by a wider team, education and infrastructure.

It's also part of something bigger: a more connected approach to business education, with different ways for independent dental practice owners to learn, build their strategy, and get the support they need to put it into practice.

This is just the beginning. We’ll be sharing much more over the coming weeks.
