Schooooools out for Summer!!
As another academic year comes to an end, we say farewell to our Year 2's and see you next year for our Year 1's.
I thought I would add some of our hightlights......coastal trips, snow buntings, signal crayfish capture, woodland work, fancy dress, camping out and final parties. Thanks for a great year you wonderful lot.!!

Well, it's been quiet on the post side, but the students definately have been busy. We are fast flowing into the end of the year.
Here are a few things we have been up to.....reptile surveying (grass snakes and common lizards), signal crayfish capture with our Year 2's. The Year 1's have got to grips with Phase 1 habitat surveys, exams and yesterday took part in the first ever overnight camp at Brack!!

Been a bit quiet on the facebook posts, but the students definately have been busy.
In the last few weeks they have been to Bempton Cliffs, carried out river maintenance, completed some work in and around the bird hide. Todays highlight was some cuddles with the lambs!

As another busy half term comes to a close, it's time to catch up what we've been up to.

Year 1's have completed hedgerow surveys, got to grips with knapsack spraying (water only, no chemicals) and chose to have a 'dress smart to college' day. They all looked fabulous!

The Year two's been completing surveys towards assignment work, completed works in a semi natural, ancient woodland and some pond work.

Great effort all round!

Well, the Christmas break is fast behind us!
In the first couple of weeks, the Year 1's have been learning the traditional Midland style Hedge laying. Whilst our Year 2's have been preparing for their exam next week. For some light reprieve, we visited Frampton Marsh. Some great sightings, including a Marsh Harrier, Peregrine Falcon, Merlin, Pintails, Shelducks and a personal highlight.....Snow buntings!!

We are so incredibly proud to announce that our wonderful student Connor Musson won the Land-Based & Environment Learner of the Year award in the Environment, Conservation, Game and Wildlife Management category!

Connor is one of the most inspiring and amazing students we have had the pleasure of having on our course. He has achieved a huge amount whilst with us and will achieve even more in his career.

Well done Connor, we honestly could not be more proud!
