For the past ten years, our company has been creating bold, joyful and unforgettable Carnival experiences ππ₯, led by one of the strongest Samba bands in the region. Rooted in heavy Brazilian rhythms π§π·, our music is orchestrated by an exceptional teacher who brings together everyone from professional musicians to complete beginners, transforming diverse abilities into powerful, high-energy perform
ances π₯. This approach creates not only outstanding music, but also a strong sense of community, learning and shared ownership, both on and off the street π€. Alongside our music, we design and build striking, original costumes in-house β¨π, with inclusion at the heart of everything we do. From our unique mobility-scooter mini Carnival floats βΏπ and award-winning signature golden costume πβ¨, to our beloved Bee dancers π,πΊ and unforgettable Howler characters our work is playful, ambitious and accessible to all. We are proud to be a professional company, trusted by clients and loved by audiences π, with consistently excellent feedback from performers, partners and event organisers alike. In 2026, as we celebrate our 10th birthday ππ, we are excited to expand our work, collaborating with more events, Carnivals and Pride celebrations π³οΈβπ to mark this milestone with creativity, energy and joy. Accessibility and inclusion have always been central to Can Sambaβs ethos βΏ β€οΈ β not only in who can take part, but in how we value the people who make the work possible. We believe that art is work π¨ πΌ, and that performers and musicians deserve to be paid for their time, energy and skill. Our company is built by its drummers, dancers and performers; without them, we would simply be two people holding a collection of drums and costumes! π₯π By always attempting to ensure fair remuneration, we actively remove financial barriers that too often limit participation in the arts, enabling people from a wide range of backgrounds to perform, create and develop professionally, regardless of personal circumstanceπ. Can Samba is co-directed, combining strong musical leadership with experienced performance and company management πΌ π. Alongside performing at the heart of the work, the companyβs lead artist is responsible for project management, performer coordination, client liaison, and the design and production of our costumes π§΅π. This dual leadership model underpins the companyβs professionalism, consistency and long-standing reputation β.
