Pro Samba band, superb entertainers, award-winning, street theatre and Carnival arts. Art with heart
For the past ten years, our company has been creating bold, joyful and unforgettable Carnival experiences 🎉🥁, led by one of the strongest Samba bands in the region. Rooted in heavy Brazilian rhythms 🇧🇷, our music is orchestrated by an exceptional teacher who brings together everyone from professional musicians to complete beginners, transforming diverse abilities into powerful, high-energy perform
ances 🔥. This approach creates not only outstanding music, but also a strong sense of community, learning and shared ownership, both on and off the street 🤝. Alongside our music, we design and build striking, original costumes in-house ✨🎭, with inclusion at the heart of everything we do. From our unique mobility-scooter mini Carnival floats ♿🎠 and award-winning signature golden costume 🏆✨, to our beloved Bee dancers 🐝,🐺 and unforgettable Howler characters our work is playful, ambitious and accessible to all. We are proud to be a professional company, trusted by clients and loved by audiences 👏, with consistently excellent feedback from performers, partners and event organisers alike. In 2026, as we celebrate our 10th birthday 🎂🎊, we are excited to expand our work, collaborating with more events, Carnivals and Pride celebrations 🏳️🌈 to mark this milestone with creativity, energy and joy. Accessibility and inclusion have always been central to Can Samba’s ethos ♿ ❤️ — not only in who can take part, but in how we value the people who make the work possible. We believe that art is work 🎨 💼, and that performers and musicians deserve to be paid for their time, energy and skill. Our company is built by its drummers, dancers and performers; without them, we would simply be two people holding a collection of drums and costumes! 🥁👗 By always attempting to ensure fair remuneration, we actively remove financial barriers that too often limit participation in the arts, enabling people from a wide range of backgrounds to perform, create and develop professionally, regardless of personal circumstance🌍. Can Samba is co-directed, combining strong musical leadership with experienced performance and company management 🎼 📋. Alongside performing at the heart of the work, the company’s lead artist is responsible for project management, performer coordination, client liaison, and the design and production of our costumes 🧵🎭. This dual leadership model underpins the company’s professionalism, consistency and long-standing reputation ⭐.

If you go down to the shops tomorrow… you’re sure of a big surprise 👀
The Howlers are stretching their legs and heading out onto the high street near our new studio in
Part artwork, part theatre, all joyful chaos. 💥
We’ll be introducing ourselves properly to the neighbourhood — and inviting you to help us shape the next decade of Carnival.
We’re raising funds to secure the studio while we set up (and maybe even get some Velux windows in so the Howlers can enjoy a bit of natural light 🐺✨).
If you’re out with the kids, grabbing coffee, or mooching about the charity shops — come and say hello. 👋🏽
Photos very welcome.
Howls enthusiastically encouraged. ☺️
Sherwood, we can’t wait to meet you. 🤝🫱🏿🫲🏾🫱🏽🫲🏼

See what you beauties are helping to support. So the white skull head is the first imagineering of my ideas for Dia Del Los Mu***os and the black skull is my latest work, finished last week (in its first draught still got lights bells and whistles to add) and with this new studio that you’re all providing funding for I’m starting to feel really inspired and a lot less terrified and stressed! Thank you everyone for the reposting, mentions and donations. We’re half way to 3 months, but who will push us over £500 today and make Friday the 13th Friyay? 😁 Have a great weekend loving people and the things you love to do with your weekend. Peace, love and beats - Can Samba 🫶🏽🥰✊🏽
