The oral health team have been round to drop off our tooth brushes & talk to the children about cleaning their teeth. The children are eager to start and did really well ❤️

This week I went on a course all about oral health and will be implementing cleaning the children’s teeth in my setting with this new tooth brushing programme 🩷

Rebekah and Dawn from the Nottinghamshire Oral Health Team had a great evening with childminders in Mapperley, delivering training on the Supervised Toothbrushing Programme.
There was lots of engagement and discussion, and the Childminders were surprised to learn that tooth decay remains the leading cause of hospital admission for children aged 5–9, reinforcing just how important early prevention is.
Everyone left feeling empowered to incorporate supervised toothbrushing into their setting, and make a real difference to children’s oral health.
