🎉🏆 WE DID IT – £1,000 FOR OUR PLAY EQUIPMENT! 🏆🎉

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Bluecoat Primary Academy came 2nd in the Tesco Stronger Starts competition, securing an amazing £1,000 grant to invest in new play equipment for our children! 💙

This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the support of our wonderful school community. Every blue token placed in the Tesco voting boxes helped make a difference, and we are so grateful to everyone who took the time to vote for us.

A special thank you must go to Mrs Smith, whose hard work, determination and organisation ensured our school could take part in this fantastic initiative. Her commitment to creating the very best opportunities for our children has helped secure funding that will benefit pupils for years to come. 🌟

The £1,000 will be used to enhance our outdoor play provision, creating even more opportunities for children to be active, imaginative and engaged during their time at school.
This achievement is another example of what can be accomplished when our school and community work together.

💙 Thank you for believing in Bluecoat Primary Academy.
💙 Thank you for voting.
💙 Thank you for helping us create even better opportunities for our children.

Together, we achieve great things.

🌟 The Bluecoat Primary Academy Transition Journey 🌟

At Bluecoat Primary Academy, we believe that transition is not a single event, it is a carefully planned journey that begins long before a child walks through our doors and continues all the way to secondary school and beyond.

Our newly launched Transition Journey showcases how we support every child and family through each stage of their educational experience. From nursery visits, home visits and stay-and-play sessions, to Reception transition, key stage milestones, new classroom experiences and preparation for secondary school, every step is designed with one goal in mind:

💙 Every Child at the Centre
We know that children thrive when they feel safe, valued, known and supported. That is why our transition offer is built around relationships, belonging and confidence-building. Families are welcomed into our community before children start, staff work closely together to ensure seamless transitions between year groups, and pupils are supported to develop the skills and resilience needed for future success.

Our approach reflects our belief that:
✨ Every child deserves to belong.
✨ Every family deserves support.
✨ Every transition matters.

From a child's first steps into Nursery through to their final days in Year 6, we ensure that no transition is left to chance. Instead, it is thoughtfully planned, personalised and centred around the needs of each individual child.

We are incredibly proud of the strong culture of belonging we have created at Bluecoat Primary Academy and the positive impact this has on children's confidence, wellbeing and achievement.

Year 4 are becoming excellent publishers! In this unit they created a dragon and wrote a biography on it. We have been reading How To Train Your Dragon and this inspired us to create our own dragons!
