One of our school parents has set up a new community running club in Brinsley!

The first β€˜Run Around Level Up’ meet will be a 5K run on 6th June at 8am meeting at Brinsley Park with a social catch up at the Headstocks Cafe afterwards.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Children are very welcome to attend, but please note that all children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times throughout the event.

This is a great opportunity to get active, meet other local families and enjoy some time outdoors together. πŸŒ³πŸ’›

Just wishing all the children and families of Brinsley Primary & Nursery School a lovely week ahead. Thank you and a special well done to all our Year 6 pupils who are not only brilliant role models, but have worked so hard over the years and particularly last week and have enjoyed a "bit of a burger" in the sun this afternoon. Year 3 have had a fantastic day at Creswell Crags exploring β€œCavemen and Creatures” to further develop their topic this term 🦣

They explored a cave and learnt about the humans and animals who sheltered there over 12,000 years ago. To survive the Ice Age, they learnt important survival skills, including spear throwing and shelter building.

They finished the day by becoming palaeontologists and learning more about prehistoric animals by reassembling real animal skeletons!

We are really proud of how well Year 3 represented the school, as well as their enthusiasm and thoughtful questions throughout the day.
