On Tuesday our U14 Girls Hockey team won the Midland State Championships! They finished first against schools traveling as far as North Staffordshire and Northampton.
They scored an amazing 30 goals and conceded 0 over the course of the day.
The PE department would like to thank all the parents who came to support, and in particular give a massive thank you to Natalie Hardwicke whose time, dedication and expertise in coaching the squad has been instrumental to their success.

We’ve had a wonderful end to the half term: staff vs student chess matches in the hall, year 8s reading in the garden and ice creams for our hardworking year 11s at the end of the day.
Thank you to everyone in our school community for inspiring each other every day.
Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine ☀️☀️

This week, Year 7 and 8 students took part in a Music Technology workshop organised by the University of Nottingham. They spent the afternoon using shapes to compose electronic music, all part of a research project into the pioneering work of musician Daphne Oram.
As part of the project the University are offering a free club to encourage girls to get involved in Music Technology - see the email sent home for more details.

Every Tuesday a small group of Year 10 and 11s attend Nottingham College to develop their construction skills. Carpentry, bricklaying, tiling, plastering, and painting and decorating have all been covered in their Multi-Skills course. These are skills they will take with them into post-16 courses and beyond.
We're extremely proud of all of them passing the course and demonstrating INSPIRE values!
