Really enjoyed teaching the lovely Year 5 boys. 6 weeks was a bit tight for what we planned but we made it. A lovely experience for them over at the senior school Art room. I'm looking forward to seeing them all again in the Spring term. Well done little Artists. Miss Fry.

WooHoooo to the GCSE dream team, I am so proud of you all. Eight students, six A*-A, 2B’s equivalent. (2x9’s, 3x8’s,1x7,2x6). Such an amazing talented group for two years that I absolutely loved teaching. I will really miss them. Good luck with everything, and have a fantastic day celebrating. Keep in touch. Miss Fry

I will miss the dream team. The 2022 Show is nearly up, preview evening on the 8th of June, for parents and family and our students. The work has been fantastic throughout and they have really become very talented Artists. The textiles work will also be shown on the night. Good luck all year 11s. Miss Fry.

Year 7 made some Halloween stained glass and mobiles today to take home over half term. We had a lot of fun.

Year 8 chose to do their own art for homework. Charlotte did this beautiful painting of herself with her Dad. Based on a memory of a cricket match they went to. How lovely. Something to keep forever. ❤️

Year 7 Art lesson. Lovely to have them back! I do provide materials but these two lovely students have packed their own stuff to bring in today. How lovely. Organised, punctual, conscientious. What more could you want from 11 year olds? It’s made my day.

Well done to the Hollygirt Artists this week. Year 7 had a go at printing, with what they had at home, (mono print using foil and a potatoe block print) onto backgrounds they produced the previous week with salt and ink. Year 8’s continue the photography project with distorting themselves and cloning themselves. Lots of fun to mark! Year 9 are working on the graphic design skills with putting their designs onto a net ready for their packaging. GCSE ploughing on with their personal projects and independent tasks. Motivation has tailed off a little this week with submissions, so it’s important to keep it up, not only are you learning, but it’s therapeutic too. Well done to all that are keeping going.
