On Friday, we said goodbye to our Stone Souperstars of 2026.

It was a bittersweet day full of fond memories, in jokes, tearful goodbyes and lots of pizza! All of our students looked fabulous in their amazing custom shirts created by our head of photography Emily and everyone had a wonderful time signing them with messages of luck for the future.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our student, Taybah, for being recognised in the recent Youth Power Awards, which celebrates inspiring young people across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire for their resilience, talents, and positive impact within their communities.

Taybah's journey is marked by her determination, personal growth, and commitment to overcoming challenges while continuing to make a positive contribution to those around them.

Well done on this well-deserved recognition, Taybah!

A wonderful evening on Thursday celebrating the achievements, progress, and dedication of our students alongside their families at our Celebration Evening. 

We welcomed parents and carers to recognise the hard work, resilience, and successes of our students. This partnership between school and home is very important in supporting every student's journey.

Our Culture Day today brought together students and staff to share traditions, stories, and perspectives from around the world. From vibrant attire to meaningful conversations, it was a reminder that our differences are what make us stronger.

Moments like these highlight the importance of inclusion, respect, and learning from one another, core Stone Soup values we’re proud to foster every day.

Last week, our media students went to Vue Cinema for the screening of Bad Guys 2 to support their learning beyond the classroom 🎬

This experience strengthened their understanding of film genres, audience engagement, character representation, and storytelling, linking directly to curriculum intent and implementation.

A valuable opportunity to apply knowledge in a real-world context and deepen learning in a fun way!

The theme for Children's Mental Health Week 2026 is 'This is My Place', and at our academy there is no truer statement for our students.

This week, we asked our student council what they would like to see in the academy to help support the student body. Together, they came up with lots of fun activities so that each day would bring a new theme focused on different aspects of mindfulness, physical health and mental health.

Mental health matters all year round and we are so proud of our souperstars ✨️

Welcome back to Stone Soup Academy!

Our Souperstars have hit the ground running on their return to the academy. Already they have been working hard on their artwork, practising their photography skills, challenging themselves in maths, exploring shops for business studies and having a blast at crazy golf. Can you believe that they've done all of this in their first week!? We sure can.

Here's to more creating unimagined futures. We can't wait to see what the new school year brings ✨️

Yesterday marked our year 11's final exam 📝✅️

We are so proud of every one of our students for their efforts and drive to succeed in their exams this year. All of them have worked so hard, and we wish them all the best of luck for their results day in August 🥳
