What a wonderful morning at play church with Annie 😊 we sang some songs and made music with shakers, we listened to a story about Noah’s ark and then got busy crafting making some rainbows and sun catchers. πŸŒˆβ˜€οΈ we love coming to play church it’s so much fun 😊

This morning our butterflies were ready to spread their wings and fly off to their natural habitat. We had a look at them and said goodbye before we let them fly away on the field. This has been a great learning opportunity for the children and they have loved watching the life cycle of a caterpillar happen in real life. πŸ›πŸ¦‹

πŸŽ’βœ¨ School Readiness Workshop βœ¨πŸŽ’

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for our School Readiness Workshop today!

We explored fun ways children learn through:
⭐ Name activities
⭐ Maths & phonics games
⭐ Uniform station fun
⭐ School readiness worksheets and ideas

It was lovely to see everyone sharing experiences together while enjoying coffee β˜• and cake 🍰 too!

Starting school is such an exciting milestone, and preparing for it can be fun for the whole family πŸ’›

If you couldn’t attend, don’t worry β€” information and resources are available from the preschool.

Forest School fun πŸŒΏπŸƒ

We explored the mud kitchen, created bugs using natural objects, and made nature faces in our tuff trays πŸ‚πŸͺ΅πŸž

The children also used tubes, funnels and watering cans to create their own water pouring station attached to the fence πŸ’§πŸͺ£ β€” exploring how water moves through different pathways while working together and problem solving.

We picked fresh mint from the herb garden and used it to make a delicious mint, cucumber & yogurt dip, which everyone enjoyed with pitta bread πŸ₯’πŸŒ±βœ¨

Such a fun day at the allotments 🌿

We explored, played, and got our hands muddy! We even found a tiny little newt hiding under some wood 🦎

The children helped plant and pot some mint, checked on all our herbs and growing plants, and built a brilliant den together. There was lots of imaginative play in the mud kitchen and plenty of digging and exploring in the raised beds too.

A perfect morning of outdoor learning, curiosity and messy fun πŸ’š

Happy 100th birthday to Sir David Attenborough. πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³πŸŽ‚

We’ve have had so much fun celebrating today and learning all about the life of Sir David Attenborough. We have explored ice and penguins, talked about and drawn pictures of our favourite animals as well as making birthday cakes with play dough and having a birthday party in the home corner. We have loved discussing the animals and patterns on our clothes and talking about where different animals live.

Some of the children went on a walk to the post box to post a birthday card which we made for Sir David Attenborough, we hope he likes it 😁

Our new caterpillar kit has arrived! πŸ›πŸ¦‹

The children have been busy drawing what our caterpillars look like now and predicting what their beautiful butterflies will look like soon. We’ll be measuring them as they grow, making predictions, and learning all about the amazing life cycle along the way.

Such a fun, hands-on educational experience filled with creativity, curiosity and discovery! 🌿✨

Today, our preschoolers who are getting ready to start school this September enjoyed a lovely walk to Woodborough Woods school, where the older children shared stories with them.

They read books together, chatted, and created such positive connections about starting school all while having so much fun!

A huge thank you to Woodborough Woods for such a special experience.
