A huge thank you to author, Sue Law, who came into our school. She read us her book and we got to ask her questions about what it is like to be an author? And how to become an author?
We made a range of beautiful art work pieces about her story!

All of year 2 would like to thank Dr Bailey for teaching about what was happening on the latest space mission. He then let us do so experiments linking to rockets, making moon craters and find out about centrifugal forces (spinning forces)!

A massive thank you to Michelle and Andrew from Balfour Beatty who spent the morning with our year 2’s! We had an exciting session learning about what happens on construction sites. After in groups, we designed and made bridges using straws, paper and tape. Then we tested out our bridges by seeing how many cars we could put on them. The results were very close!

A huge thank you to Mrs Martin, from Canal River Trust, who taught us how to be SAFE near Erewash canal (and other places near water).
She told us to keep two steps back; quack, quack, so if we fall near water we should land on land and not the water. We learnt who to call if we find someone who is having trouble in the water. Finally she taught us SAFE; Stay Away From the Edge!
