Morrisons Community Champions Netherfield

Last night, Fay, Kelly, Sue and I were invited to the Anthony Nolan Cell Collection Centre Celebration event. The Morrisons Foundation has granted £38,000 to the project, funding a vital piece of equipment that will speed up the process of stem cell transplants. With any transplant, time is crucial — and this kit will go on to save so many more lives.

The evening was a beautiful reminder of how much Morrisons does behind the scenes. The Morrisons Foundation truly offers a lifeline to so many.

It was also a lovely opportunity for some of us Community Champions to catch up and share the amazing work happening in our communities. In such a fast-paced business, nights like these are ones we will always treasure.

Marie Curie provides a better end of life for more people, whatever the illness. They are here for anyone living with any illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. They provide free palliative and end of life care, information and support. They campaign for more people to have a better end of life and fund palliative care research

We are so excited to share our raffle with you!
We are currently raising money for computing equipment, to further enhance our computing curriculum and ensure that our youngest children know how to use technology efficiently and safely. Over the coming weeks, we are hoping to raise enough money to buy a new trolley of iPads, which will enrich and enhance children’s learning, not only through our computing curriculum but through our entire curriculum.
Many local businesses have generously donated tickets, prizes and gifts for our fundraising event. These are:

We are asking for £2 per entry. The number of entries is unlimited. If you would like to be in with a chance of winning, please bring a sealed envelope to the office, containing the cash for your entry and with your child’s name and class on the front. All entries will need to be handed into the office by 3.30pm on Wednesday 21st May.
We will populate a wheel spinner with all entries, and this will be drawn on Friday 23rd May at 3.30pm, just outside of the office.
