Over the spring and summer, the children have really enjoyed planting and watching the seeds grow into plants. We have grown: pumpkins; tomatoes; corn; peas; beans; cucumbers; potatoes and lots of wild flowers for the bees.
While pulling the potatoes out, we found an ants nest! The children were really interested in watching the ants move their eggs.

Since being back after the Easter holiday, we have had something new in the sand tray- bird seed. The bird seed has given the children a chance to explore a new texture and talk about the different seeds in the mix, discussing size, colour and feel.
