As some of you may know, I had my inspection recently, and I’m so happy to be able to share my report!

This inspection was carried out under the new inspection framework, so I’m especially proud of how it went and all the lovely comments, it really does mean so much to me!

The children were absolutely wonderful on the day, especially as we had a lots of illness going around at the time, they really did me proud.

Thank you so much to all my lovely families for trusting me with your little ones ❤️

We’ve had such a lovely half term week! We started off with an Easter egg hunt in the garden. Then enjoyed some park trips - even in the wind and rain! Completed some easter crafts, and a little Tesco trip at the children’s request to get ingredients for rice crispy cakes! We finished the week with a last minute trip to the farm today which was such a lovely way to end the week! I'm now closed until 13th April, see you all soon! ❤️

Last week we enjoyed a lovely trip to Stonebridge Farm! We caught the bus there, and had a brilliant time feeding the animals, wondering through the gardens, and exploring all the wonderful things hidden around the farm! We observed the beehives, watched the rabbits and guinea pigs, and even spent some time watching the tree surgeons at work - which was definitely a highlight of the day! We had so much fun exploring, that all the children fell asleep on the bus ride back home!

This week, as always, we have been learning through play! Getting stuck into sensory messy play by mixing colours, water and shaving foam! We have covered the driveway in chalk drawings, building early writing and mark making skills, and practised balancing on planks and crates, working on concentration, confidence and those all important physical skills.

We also took a quiet moment to lie back and watch the clouds, sparking imagination and lovely conversations, before heading to the mud kitchen for lots of role play and sharing.

To finish the week, we enjoyed our walk to playgroup together, practising listening, independence and staying safe in the community, which is always a favourite!

We had a very quiet day on Monday this week, and after meatballs were requested for lunch, we took a trip to ikea! Forget soft play, forget the park, apparently ikea is the place to be - far more exciting! 😅

Every room was explored, every bed was tested, every teddy was cuddled, and every candle was smelt! The girls had such a blast, I feel so privileged to share these simple, everyday adventures! ❤️

Earlier in the week we had a wonderful visit to the Tesco christmas Grotto! 🎅

A very friendly elf greeted us with some North Pole stories, the children made and posted their Santa letters, we had some cheeky chocolates while we waited, and then had our moment with Santa himself!

The children had such a lovely visit, and I'm so proud of how brilliant they were - they were also very pleased with their gifts! 🎁❤️

Over the last two weeks, there hasn’t been a single day without someone asking for slime, it’s definitely a favourite at the moment! The children are having so much fun while strengthening their fine motor skills - pinching, pulling, rolling, squashing, and stretching their creations!

Slime play is fantastic for building the hand and finger muscles the children need for future writing skills, helping them develop control, coordination, and confidence.

Another great example of how we learn through play! ❤️

We've have such an exciting Monday! The children were thrilled to visit a fire engine and meet the firefighters this morning. They got to see the flashing lights, hear the siren, explore some of the equipment, and of course sit inside!

We talked about how firefighters help keep everyone safe, how we'd call them for an emergency, and about all the equipment they use. The children showed so much interest and did such a great job talking to the fire crew and asking about their fire engine!

A huge thank you to the fire fighters for finding the time and being so patient with us 🚒👩‍🚒

It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update, but we’re still here and busy as ever!

The children have been making the most of the new term, from splashing in puddles - a firm favourite, to visiting local playgroups, parks, the supermarket, and feeding the ducks!

On our walks we’ve stopped to watch the diggers, and practiced crossing the road safely together. At home, the fun has carried on with plenty of play, the big boxes have sparked so much imagination, with playdough and rice play still being firm favourites!

The weather is getting a little colder now, but it never slows us down, we’ve loved exploring, learning and playing together in all the weathers!

Yesterday we went to our local church playgroup. On our walk there, the children spotted lots of different birds! They enjoyed watching and listening, and we talked about the different colours and names. Our favourite thing about playgroup is the soft play. We balanced and crawled along, moving our bodies in different ways. We practised holding out arms out to help with balance. We then ended with a story and some singing where a parent commented on how beautifully the children sat!
