🐾 WOOF WOOF! Rosie here! 🐾

Apparently I’m turning 7 on Sunday… although I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. I still look fabulous, still run like a puppy when someone says “walkies”, and I can still hear a cheese wrapper being opened from three streets away. 🧀👀

To celebrate, I took a Bluey birthday cake into Am-Am’s House today to share with all my little besties. 💙🎂

I spent the day accepting birthday cuddles, supervising play, collecting crumbs from the floor (a very important job), and making sure everyone felt loved. Being the official Am-Am’s House Wellbeing and Biscuit Inspector is hard work, you know!

A huge thank you to all the wonderful pawrents for letting me woof your babies, be their friend, listen to their stories, join their adventures, and receive approximately 47 cuddles a day. ❤️

I’ve had the best birthday celebration with my tiny humans and I can’t think of a better way to spend it.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have birthday cake to digest and a sofa to snooze on. 🐶💤

Our week… ☀️

Monday was the grand opening of our amazing sensory equipment and the children absolutely love how we’ve transformed the cabin. I am as proud as proud can be 🤍

This week has been a busy one! We’ve spent lots of time exploring The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛 The children created a beautiful butterfly for our display by printing one painted wing onto the other, made caterpillar collages, enjoyed reading the story together and spent lots of time talking about the life cycle of a butterfly 🦋

We enjoyed a wet woodland walk, our fortnightly trip into Edenhurst to see all our lovely friends, a visit to our favourite park, a walk along the river to play pooh sticks, skim stones and feed the cows 🐮, a sunny trip to feed the ducks frozen peas (I didn’t believe they liked them either 😂), yummy ice lollies to keep us cool, a splash in the Victoria Embankment paddling pool and lots of lovely picnics throughout the week ☀️

Today we met and booked in a lovely family to join us in September 2027!! Watching their journey from 17 weeks pregnant through to their little one starting with us is going to be so special ❤️

Our week… ☀️

Mini Movers Monday, Pirates Play Centre Tuesday, Wednesday we caught the train into town and headed to the Central Library, Thursday was a day of baking and a trip to Burton Road Park, and Friday we headed to one of our favourite spots — Woodborough Park. 🌳

Lots of crafting, free play, laughter, learning, and lovely little moments in between. ❤️

We also got to spend a couple of hours with a family who will be joining us in September. Having last cuddled baby G when she was just 10 days old, it was so special to see her little personality shining through and spend time getting to know her lovely Mummy and Daddy too.

And baby A popped in to drop off his big sister! His turn at Am-Am’s House will soon be here, but for now his Mummy is soaking up every second of maternity leave cuddles with him 💙

Our week… ☀️

Water play, garden fun, clay models, craft, and welcoming back our youngest Am-Am’s House family member after recovering from surgery — we missed you so much!! ❤️

A week full of den building, story reading, friendship building and memory making. We hired Rainbow Stripes all to ourselves and took them along to visit our friends at Edenhurst… everybody loved them just as much as we do! 🌈

We squeezed in a bus trip, a train trip, a visit to the central library for a BSL class, and even a cheeky McDonald’s treat. The sunshine has finally arrived so of course that meant ice creams too! 🍦☀️

We enjoyed walks along the river, a trip to Colwick Country Park to feed the ducks, and so many lovely moments together…

This afternoon we also got to spend some lovely time getting to know a wonderful family who will soon be joining our Am-Am’s House family ❤️ We absolutely love those first visits — building relationships, learning all about each little one, and helping families feel at home with us from the very beginning.

…and somehow that was all in a 4-day week!! 🤩

A week of mini movers, water play, park trips, ice cream, painting, more chia seed potato heads, dressing up, reading books, a trip to Costa, bus adventures, outdoor play, and a lovely visit to Gedling Country Park. We also enjoyed a trip to the farm, splashing in the stream, and making daisy chains along the way 🌼

And to top it all off, we welcomed a brand new little superstar who completed her first full day with us today — and did amazingly!

How much can you possibly fit into one week… quite a lot at Am-Am’s House! 💛

What a beautiful, busy week we’ve had at Am-Am’s House 💛

From our energetic Mini Movers sessions to plenty of outdoor play in the fresh air, the children have made the most of every moment. We loved our visit to Edenhurst Care Home, sharing smiles, songs and special moments across generations 🥰

We celebrated World Earth Day by exploring the world around us, caring for nature and talking about how we can look after our planet 🌍 The adventures didn’t stop there either — bus trips, feeding the ducks, park visits and lots of creative fun including our chia seed potato heads 🌱

And of course, we couldn’t miss out on a bit of soft play fun too!

A very special welcome to two gorgeous girlies who have joined our Friday crew ❤️❤️ we are so excited to have you as part of our Am-Am’s House family.

Wednesday
It was time for Pirates soft play 🏴‍☠️
The children used their strong legs to climb super high and zoom down the slides. Jen and Tessie couldn’t resist joining in… with a race down the slide! 😄

Thursday
A lovely walk along the river, throwing stones into the water and a visit to the park 🌊
We also welcomed another little one starting her Am-Am’s House journey as Mummy returned to work. Both girls are from families we already work with, which makes it extra special to continue supporting them ❤️

Friday
Back to Pirates soft play by popular demand! 🏴‍☠️
8 out of the 10 children hadn’t been earlier in the week, and when I asked what they’d like to do, the answer was clear… “pirate ship!”
So of course, their wish came true ✨

We were also lucky enough to get some gorgeous baby cuddles 💙 It’s always so special when our current families welcome new additions, knowing we’ll be part of their journey from the very beginning—sharing those precious moments at drop-offs of their older siblings.

To top it all off, we received the news that our planning permission has been approved! 🤩 We honestly couldn’t be happier. This opens up three additional places, which will mainly support our preschool wraparound care as some of our current children head off to preschool in September.

The excitement didn’t stop there—our electricians have been back in today getting everything ready for the air conditioning units being installed in the cabin and main playroom tomorrow!

It’s all very exciting here at Am-Am’s House ❤️

Last week we pressed pause on our usual routine so that Am-Am’s House could have a little refresh… and wow, what a difference it has made 🌷🌻

The side of the house that we use to access Am-Am’s House has been repointed (and yes… the dust was next level 😅), our brand new side store has been built and is now beautifully organised with all of our lovely resources, and we’ve added a gorgeous new little gate too.

The cabin has had a full fresh coat of paint and is back to looking as good as new, and everything has had a proper spring clean and wash ready for a new season of fun ahead ✨

And of course, it wasn’t all work… Rosie made sure she got her own little treat with a day trip to the beach, finished off perfectly with a must-have ice cream 🍦🐶

All ready and raring to go for another busy term at Am-Am’s House 💛
