Hello my name is Claire and I’ve been teaching maths for ten years and tutoring for eight. I have worked in mainstream and specialist schools, supporting students of varying needs and ability and providing individual, tailored programmes of learning and engagement. I have also worked as a full time intervention teacher, specialising in analysing data for small groups of students and creating my ow
n scheme of work to guide these students through exams and boost progress. I have experience of tutoring from year 6 to year 11 for both foundation and higher, providing appropriate resources and supporting with exam preparation as well as SATS, KS3, GCSE and functional skills. I have been marking GCSE exam papers since 2014, so I know where and how marks are allocated and common misconceptions and mistakes made by students. I have excellent subject knowledge and a wide range of resources available. I am also happy to help during school holidays. I tutor online on zoom or skype, depending on students preference. I am DBS checked and up to date on all safeguarding training.
