🚨 At least one road traffic collision every day involves an ambulance (Safe In The Back – aace.org.uk).

That might not sound like a lot, but from minor crashes to major incidents, every collision has consequences for patients, staff, and the public 👥⚠️

That’s why we’ve designed a hazard perception test specifically for ambulance drivers 🚑👀

The UK Hazard Perception Test, introduced in 2002, was built for learner drivers. It uses car-driver footage without mirrors and fixed scoring windows ⏱️ — which can disadvantage experienced drivers who identify hazards earlier than expected.

It also does not reflect the vehicle-specific risks first-response drivers face, such as different sightlines, blind spots, stopping distances, and risk profiles 🛑↔️
