Learn to Grow Learn To Grow provides services and products that enable educators to use a garden to teach effectiv

To do this, I will provide a range of services that minimise the time and effort required to maintain the garden, whilst maximising the learning outcomes. With curriculum pressures, every hour of the school day has to be used wisely, and time spent in the garden is no exception. Services such as teacher training, lesson planning and curriculum development workshops will allow the garden to become

an extension of the classroom, rather than a competitor for classroom time. By supplying, or outsourcing, a school's needs for garden tools, materials, plants and joinery items, teachers can save time, money and administrative effort. Finally, maintenance and watering services ensure that the garden never becomes a chore, especially during school holidays.

A poem.

Games of chance with the crows,
Feeding in the park.
How we do it, nobody knows,
We'll make the darkness dark.

Have you ever seen a night crow fly?
The Moon knew Africa too.
The Swifts stopped off on their way,
The message carried through

A back garden "wind" generator. It's full of methane and other gasses generated by domestic food biomass decomposing in a sealed high pressure container. The gas pressure drives a small 12v generator in the same way as pressure drives machinery in a steam engine. Gas released should be burned off; heat generated in the process could be used to heat water or possibly used for cooking (?). The electricity generated charges batteries for lighting and other 12v uses. When placed in a sunny position it would be covered with solar cells also charging the batteries.

Any thoughts appreciated.

More Ideas.

2 Big milk cartons. Cut off the top of one, and the bottom of the other.
Add 2 inches of water to the topless carton.
Poo in the topless carton.
Add dry soil, chippings, water crystals. Whatever.
Seal with bottomless carton. Place somewhere where you don't have to think about it to compost.

Now I wouldn't say I was desperate to try this...

What with all the late frost and cold this year, gardens are looking really nice at the moment for very little effort. Especially Hellebores.

"I hope you're well." No you don't. You hope I'm just well enough not to make you feel inadequate.

Annnnd relax. Back to something familiar. See you all in... what... 20 hours? Plus lots and lots of lovely sleep.

Today has been excellent. I thought it was me doing the thinking, but actually I was just integrating the advice of my very good friends, whom I have never appreciated.
