It’s a balloon party kinda day! 🎈 🩷🥰

Good morning! I am a childminder based in the Hempshill Vale area within a 3 minute walking distance to Hempshill hall primary school. I am a very friendly, compassionate person with a passion for educating! I work with 2 wonderful assistants who are dedicated to the happiness and development of children.

We work alongside all required frameworks and provide opportunities of play and learning to assist in the development of children. The development framework we follow is the EYFS. Not only do we have a wide range of resources, secure and safe garden and home, and knowledge to encourage development but we also frequently take local visits into the community to provide extended opportunities such as visits to play areas, libraries, soft play, sign classes and much more.

We are strong believers of every child is different and must be provided with different opportunities to thrive which is why each child will be provided with goals (next steps) and be assisted with development checks at appropriate ages to ensure I am evaluating my own practice and monitoring the development of my assistants practice in guiding the development of children. Each child will be provided with goals from the EYFS and we specifically choose outings/activities to promote the learning and growth of the children in accordance to their next steps.

While we have a loose themed long term planning which consists of weekly themes - we also use the approach of child led learning. Children thrive from learning through play and each have their own individual wants and interests. Children will be given opportunities to choose - not only - their own activities to support their learning (with my support) but their breakfast, snacks and many other things to promote democracy.

Children who attend before/after school and school holidays are provided with many extended opportunities for fun and learning. We are happy to assist children with reading, homework and any further guidance they may require. I have worked in both primary and secondary schools and have a wide range of knowledge in accordance to the national curriculum.

We provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks throughout the day.

I have 11 years childcare experience with ages ranging from newborn to 16 years. I have worked in nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools and childminder settings. I have many certificates of qualification as my knowledge and experience is ever growing. I am happy to show these!

🩷 What do we do in holiday club? 🩷
We offer childcare from 7am - 6pm for children aged 0-12 years old. We go on trips and visits to lots of different exciting places and love to explore! During these summer holidays we have so much planned, from ticking our checklist off of trying and rating different parks in Nottingham, to visiting big adventure soft plays, to exploring a castle, going to red kangaroo and much more!

🏫 What is breakfast and afterschool club?🏫
Some of the children from Hempshill Hall primary school come before and after school for their breakfast and dinner! They are dropped off and collected from school.

🆓 Do you offer the free (funded) 15 and 30 hours childcare for 0-5 years? 🆓
Yes! Funding is now available for children from 9 months old. Please message for more information or guidance.

📍 Where are we based?📍
We are in the Hempshill Vale area within a 2 minute walking distance to Hempshill Hall primary school and only 5 minutes from the A610.

🍽️ Do the children get food provided?🍽️
Yes! The children are given 3 meals a day plus snacks and drinks.
