Our Sixth Form students have been hard at work this half term, planning and delivering exciting BTEC Business events!

As part of their course, students take on the challenge of setting objectives, developing ideas, producing cost analyses, creating marketing materials, evaluating risks, and managing the event from start to finish.

This term’s activities included a dead hang challenge, a scavenger hunt, a raffle, and a bake sale—with the bake sale alone raising nearly £200 for charity!

It’s been fantastic to see so many of our students supporting each other and showcasing their entrepreneurial skills. Well done to everyone involved!

Young Enterprise Launched at Bluecoat Sixth Form!

Young Enterprise is a UK-based national charity that empowers young people by providing hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and financial education. Students form and run their own real businesses over the course of an academic year, and will be involved in product development, marketing, managing finances and selling to the public.

Students will develop employability skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication, financial literacy and innovation, giving students a competitive edge to support future applications for university, degree apprenticeships and their future career.

We look forward to tracking their progress!
