Congratulations to our students on their outstanding results.

The Redhill Academy is pleased to share the outstanding achievements of our Year 11s in their GCSEs this summer.

Headteacher Mike Hardy said, “I am incredibly proud of all our students and the results they have achieved. This shows a great deal of hard work, resilience and talent. Alongside their exam success, our students have given so much in other areas of academic life, including engaging in competitive sport, Performing Arts, Duke of Edinburgh, mentoring and volunteering. I want to thank our staff and parents for the hard work, dedication and support they continue to provide; because of you, our students have been able to achieve wonderful academic outcomes, embrace opportunities and create lasting friendships and memories whilst here at Redhill. We look forward to welcoming them into Sixth Form where they will continue to thrive and be valued senior members of our community.”

While we are proud of all our students and their achievements, particular recognition goes to Amy C, Amelia H, Charis H and Adam BA who between them achieved a staggering 18 GCSEs at Grade 9, 9 GCSEs at Level 8 and 4 GCSEs at Level 7.

Exceptional A Level results at Redhill Sixth Form!

Over a quarter of all grades were A*/A, with A*-B grades making up more than half of all results. Students are now progressing to top universities and highly sought-after degree courses across the UK.

Special recognition goes to Diego PM (Architecture, St John’s College Cambridge) and Summer Y (Veterinary Science, University of Surrey), alongside outstanding achievers including students heading to Imperial College London, King’s College London, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Leicester.

Congratulations also to vocational students at The Oakwood Campus for an outstanding set of results in Sport, Health & Social Care, and Early Years Education.

Head of Sixth Form Charlie Barlow said: “I am so proud of all our students, their hard work and dedication has produced some phenomenal results”.

Headteacher Mike Hardy described this year’s results as “some of the highest results we have seen at the Redhill Academy and pay tribute to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff. The students should be rightfully proud of these well-deserved results”.

Our boys' and girls' badminton teams travelled to The Carlton Academy after school on Friday for a rematch fixture, and what a way to end the year!

Both teams delivered outstanding performances, winning every singles and doubles match to complete a clean sweep against strong opposition.

A special thank you goes to Martha in Year 12 for the fantastic coaching support provided throughout this summer's Badminton Performance Camp.

Good luck to Felix, Jodie and Thomas Barraclough as they compete in the National Junior Touch Cup in Leamington Spa this weekend. The tournament is one of the UK's leading junior touch rugby events, bringing together boys', girls' and mixed division teams from across the country.

It is a fantastic achievement to have three siblings representing their team and playing in the same national competition. We are incredibly proud of them and wish them every success as they take on the best young touch rugby talent from around the country.

On Tuesday a group of year 8 students visited the National Holocaust Museum at Laxton. Students took part in workshops led by specialist educators about historical fact, moral responsibility, and the impact of conspiracy theories. We also had the great privilege of meeting Holocaust survivor Hedi Argent who shared her testimony about growing up in Austria during the rise of N**i antisemitism. She spoke about the lasting impact of kindness and how important it is to listen to other people's life stories. Staff and students found her words extremely powerful and presented Hedi with a bunch of flowers as a token of our appreciation.
