Does anyone need a childminder? I am currently full but Tink's Tots Childminding is back in Hucknall soon.

We had a special delivery of caterpillars. The children have enjoyed watching the caterpillars move and eating. They are growing so fast and we are looking forward to them turning into butterflies. We have also used coloured scarves to dress up as butterflies, painted butterflies, read The Hungry Caterpillar book and discovered that there are lots of different caterpillars and butterflies.

We have froglets! The children were so excited to find froglets. We have carefully moved them into the garden, and we are eagerly awaiting frogs 🐸

We love going the Rainbow Stripes singing and story sessions at Bulwell Community Gardens. The children absolutely love the music out in the open air, followed by playing in the community garden and eating a picnic together. It’s so wonderful for them to experience live music and be able to join in with different instruments.

My childminding children really do become like part of the family and have a fantastic bond with my own children. We had a fun filled day at Wheelgate and my daughter came along too, as she’s finished for the summer at university. We had so much fun together on the rides and seeing the animals. It’s so lovely to see the bonds that have been built between them all.

We have been finding out about how amazing worms are for the garden. We hunted for worms in the garden and watched them wiggle and squirm. We have learnt what worms like to eat, we know that they have no eyes but have five hearts and that their tunnels and poo helps plants grow healthier. We played with toy worms and made playdough worms. We measured them to find the longest worm.🪱

We have been busy finding out about Jack and the beanstalk. We have read lots of different versions of the story and retold the story with puppets. We have planted our own beans, sunflowers, pumpkins and potatoes. We are learning how to take care of our plants as they grow. We are wondering if our beanstalks will reach up to the clouds.

What a lovely way to spend a morning visiting our friends at Harrier House Care Home. The children had a great time chatting away to the residents and playing with some of them. It’s so lovely to see the interactions between my little ones and the residents.

We’ve had such a great day together, with lots of our friends, down at the farm. We met pigs, sheep, alpacas, ponies, cows, goats hens, a donkey and lots more. We ate a picnic together and had fun bouncing on the giant pillow and climbing and swinging in the park.
