1 year ago my research was published in an academic journal! 📚 🧠

I still can’t believe that I’m a published author 🤯 I’m so proud of this work, and have since peer-reviewed research further exploring the benefits of AAIs for neurodiverse young people 🐶♥️

It’s been a fantastic journey and I can honestly say that I’m so happy in my career both as a tutor and working alongside intervention animals to help those who need it the most ✨

I hope to further investigate the dynamic and mutually beneficial relationship between animals and young people, in the hopes of highlighting the importance alternative methods of learning, therapy and support 🐴

Nothing beats brushing up on GCSE English like a trip to the theatre with family 🕵️‍♀️ 🎭

A tip of mine for those revising texts for English Literature is to watch a film or live production of your text. It solidifies your knowledge and you can see the plot unfold right before your eyes. This helps students who particularly struggle with reading. Although it’s always best to read your text rather than rely on adaptations as these sometimes differ from the text! 📚 🎥 🍿

A little bit of prep for tomorrow!

We’re touching upon Biological Psychology and I have to admit this is the most fascinating approach to me 🧠 📚

I’m always engrossed when learning about this amazing organ that we all have, and how a bunch of cells and synapses, can shape who we are 👩🏼‍⚕️🪢

Although it’s always best to consider all approaches in research, and particularly one that aligns itself within the biopsychosocial paradigm to explain behaviour - it’s fascinating!

There are weaknesses with the Biological approach, as with all approaches in Psychology. This one is indeed reductionist and many traditional findings are based on animal studies, raising questions of ethics and whether or not these models can be applied to humans at all. Nonetheless, being able to locate and map specific behaviour and activities to a tiny bunch of tissues, absolutely blows my mind! 🧠 🧪

Which Psychological approach sparks your excitement and gets your cogs turning? 🤔
