Having experienced some difficult life experiences, bullying at school, my parents divorce. I'm walking my own path to self-healing, coaching has been an integral part of my journey, I feel like this is so important for others. Having become a mum and all this brings, the joy, the laughter, the pain and sorrow of parenthood, this life experience has opened my mind and is the reason I want to work with more people in this coaching space. At my lowest point, I had chosen to work full time, commuting, my children we're in nursery and after school clubs, this made me feel sad. I felt I was disconnected from my children and desperately wanted to make changes to my job and how I was coping. My health with was in decline and my nervous system was in survival mode (anxiety before, during and after work). I found myself at the Dr's, overweight, with palpitations and decided enough is enough. It was time to take control of my life, make some different choices to align to my values and live more fully. Coaching has supported me coming to become more conscious about myself, my patterns, my behaviour and empowered me to see beyond this to become who are really am. I'm committed to share the power of coaching and mentoring others. It's what the world really needs right now in a time of disconnection, poor health, we need to seek deeper more meaningful ways to connect back to ourselves and each other. To support others make more meaningful and brave choices to live a life they consciously choose. I fell in love with Psychology, especially fascinated in people and behaviour. But as I needed to pay off the student debt, I decided to apply what I had learned, to learn more in the profession of HR. So this is where my working life started, I joined Next as a HR Assistant (after 100's of applications!). I decided to throw myself in, be a sponge and carve out my career working in different cultures and organisations. I was lucky to experience many different roles in HR, Change, Talent, Leadership, Careers, Learning and Development across many different private sector organizations. After a few years, I became a mum to Ava and Alex, everything changed. I no longer felt passionate about my career in HR, also, flexibility become something even more important to me, so a standard full time contract wasn't working for me anymore. Que, time for reflective about my values, career anchors and aspirations. After a period of introspection and repurposing my career goals, I was ready to look for something more suitable for me. I reduced my hours to 4 days a week and started a new role in Leadership, Talent & Learning & Development (some flexible working 1/2 days at home). Then in 2018 ( I married John) and embarked on a life changing 6 month coaching certification programme with the ICF (International Coaching Federation. After an intense period of learning and practice I became a certified ICF Executive & Organisational Coach. I had found my calling, a career with meaning and purpose, being in service to the development of others, making a difference to human kind. My coaching career was fully ignited. In 2019, I was in a situation where my role was merging in another team, so was given the option to take Redundancy (which I had a coach support me with, so I personally see the value of a coach). After Covid hit, I decided to stay in BT albeit in a different role. Then in a turn of events in 2023, with my coaching desire stronger than ever, I had the opportunity to take voluntary redundancy, so with a big deep breath I left the corporate life behind and took a few months to reconnect and rebuild. Over a period of 2 years I have made different choices and now have found more balance, starting my own business and reducing my hours, plus finding a new way to work which doesn't involve overwork, overpleasing and being less anxious. Who am I as a coach?.......
My coaching philosophy is building trust, accepting the person as whole (not broken or needing fixing), empowering each person as the expert in their life, working in partnership, to invoke awareness, with reflective practices so each person can discover the personal insight to activate and enable the changes they desire. To enable each person to connect with their strengths, unique gifts, and empower them with the confidence to fulfil their goals, problems they are facing. I work with people on a 1:1 basis, in teams or as a consultative partner on a project. All in service of making a difference and creating positive client outcomes, so you to can live with greater joy and fulfillment. Coaching is not about mentoring, advising, consulting, or being a counsellor/therapist. I believe that coaching creates transformational impacts on a person's life, making a difference to empower others to make the changes they choose for a new way of life. Especially, with the human experience, we live with beliefs, habits, routines and with the mechanism of the mind (which likes to keep us safe from danger) can give us the negative chatter. I know this mind, as for me, Debbie Downer is a part of me, with the inner voice of not good enough, coaching can unleash an awareness of all things human and work with you to raise awareness and ways to overcome. You can choose a different way of being. So what can you expect working with me? Always in complete confidence, present with you, actively listening, with unconditional positive regard. I'm very curious by nature and seek to evoke insight through powerful reflective questioning. I feel it's important to be compassionate, to show integrity and provide an environment which is safe, holding space for you, in an open, honest way free from judgement. This is me....

Habits…
If we want to change them—or build better ones—we first have to see them.
That means looking closely at the details of our choices:
• Morning habits that set the tone (no TV or technology for me and kids)
• Food choices we make without thinking (especially when hungry or tired, is this just me?)
• Sleep patterns and routine
• Technology we reach for on autopilot and to soothe
• Work rhythms that drain or energise us
• The automatic “yes” we give when we really need a moment to pause and ask: Is this right for me? Feeling pressured even by ourself.
Sometimes the biggest barrier is simply routine—the comfortable groove we slide into because it’s familiar, not because it’s helpful.
Awareness is the first nudge.
Small steps are the second.
Yes, we might and will fall off the wagon, but the key is awareness and small steps with effort, not being frightened of where this might take you.
Choosing something different—even if it feels uncomfortable—is how we step out of the mind’s automation and into a new zone of growth. This is how we can re-programme our mind for a different way of being.
One conscious choice at a time.
