Last Thursday our Student Leaders visited Coventry with Miss Webster and Miss Jones to present at The Secondary Leaders Conference. The students were amazing and did NES proud! 🤩

Miss Webster and Ms Marsh took some of our wonderful Student Leaders to Iremongers Pond to see how our trees are growing! The Student Leaders planted the trees back in December 2025 and they have been blooming over the last few weeks.

Just before Easter, the Year 9 boys followed up winning the City Basketball Championships by then being crowned County Champions in a well fought finals day at Nottingham Trent University. This is a fantastic achievement. They represented us with pride and were a credit to our school. Big thanks to Mr Jackson and Mr Ali for your coaching expertise!

As part of our continued commitment to supporting the wellbeing of all our students and strengthening the partnership between home and school, we are pleased to invite parents to our upcoming Parent Partnership Event focusing on young people’s mental health.

Event: Understanding Your Young Person’s Anxiety
Date: Thursday 16th April
Time: 5:00pm – 6:15pm
Location: The Nottingham Emmanuel School

We are delighted that this session will be delivered by an external specialist from the Nottingham City Mental Health Support Team, who will share expert insight into supporting young people experiencing anxiety.

This workshop has been designed specifically for parents and carers only. Students should not attend, as the content and discussions are tailored to helping adults understand and respond to anxiety in young people.

During the session, the speaker will explore:

What anxiety is and why we experience it
How anxiety can present in young people
The role that avoidance and reassurance can play in maintaining anxious behaviours
Practical strategies to support an anxious young person
Signposting to further help and support
The workshop lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and aims to equip families with greater understanding, confidence, and practical tools to support their young person effectively.

To ensure we can accommodate everyone comfortably, please confirm your attendance by completing the MS Form below:

Attendance Form: https://forms.office.com/e/2QxrwfqSnn

We hope you will take advantage of this valuable opportunity to strengthen the support surrounding your child. By working together, we can continue to nurture the wellbeing, resilience, and success of every student in our school community.

We hope to see you there!

Our Sixth Form Art students attended a Chinese brush painting masterclass with artist Li Qingyu at The University of Nottingham. They had a great time, picking up tips from Mr Li and even had some traditional Chinese snacks. Thank you to UoN for this opportunity!
