Check out the Story Valley website and read about the Ljubljana multiplier event, organized on June 15th, 2023 at the Trubar house of literature in Ljubljana city center.
Five students took the stage to present stories they had written during the school year. Each performance was given in a different style, making it a unique experience. One student read their story in Slovene, another student chose to read their story in English. Two students acted out their story as a dialogue.
One student accompanied their story with the melodic strumming of a guitar. And another student prepared an audio-visual presentation. The vibrant diversity and creativity of the students' presentations really brought their stories to life!
Overall it was a successful event for Story Valley with an audience of more than 30 people. The event not only showcased the students’ stories but it also supported the blooming of their diverse talents.

It was a bittersweet moment in Leeuwarden for the last transnational partner meeting for STORY VALLEY. Project partners from Edinburgh, Nottingham, and Leeuwarden gathered together to celebrate the great accomplishments of the project.
In the spirit of the project, everyone came prepared with something to share; a song, a poem, a performance… All very personal, with details remembering the great moments spent together. Sadly partners from Ljubljana could not make it to this final farewell.
In the 3 years of STORY VALLEY we worked hard together to create the Online Community & Platform, the Student Program & Teacher Pack, and the Story Valley Policy Advice. Students who worked on the project also created memorable outputs such as an illustrated book, a school newspaper, short videos, songs, performances, and even the logo and branding of the project itself.
The last meeting in Friesland was not a ‘goodbye’ but a ‘see you later’. We all have our fingers crossed to be nominated for a Brussels award, and will continuously be looking for opportunities to work together again.

Growing up, children listen to fairy-tales which provide an accessible way to communicate important messages to children in a playful, simple manner. Younger minds make connections between the fairy-tale world and real-life situations, which helps them develop problem-solving skills.

Two weeks ago we had our Story Valley Academy partner meeting in Nottingham. Nottingham College tested our learning materials and boy did they do a great job! Their students created beautiful and meaningful artwork with the Story Valley Academy methodology: improving literacy in a creative and fun way. During the multiplier event, the students and teachers presented their worknand explained what they learned and experienced working with the Story Valley Methodology. They were enthusiastic and pleased with the results and will integrate Story Valley into next years curriculum, which is exciting news.
We gained valuable input for the last round of improvements of the materials, before we wrap up this summer.
To give you an impression how a partner meeting looks like, we tossed all the pictures in a hat and this is what came out. Work, leanr and play. Enjoy!
