Hi people! I've been incredibly quiet on here for months now & there's absolutely been a reason for it.

The issue is, that I really dislike social media! I have to really make an effort to be on my phone as little as possible, because it's a real weakness for me - I can easily get into the addiction of doom scrolling & it's just not what I want for myself, or to feed that habit down to my kids.

I've realised that feeding into this app ultimately encourages you to be on your phone more too, which really isn't what I want to be a part of!

What I wanted for this page is to share what l've learnt in living a healthier & happier lifestyle, which ultimately includes being off phones more & digging into the beauty of life.

I've been thinking of solutions for this & I have something fun in the works ❤️

It's time to share my voice a little more ❤️

Some of you know that a podcast has been on my to-do list for a long time. In fact l've been building content for it for about 6 years. But with procrastination & stage fright hovering over me like a black beast, l've grown impatient of trying to fight it & have decided to share my voice in a less terrifying way & start a blog!

I haven't released any of the actual blog yet (they're hiding behind the stage curtain), but it would be ace to get feedback on my homepage & about section. I'd love to know if it's something you'd read!

This isn't about making money - I'm certainly not going to monetise this at any point. This is simply sharing my voice in a format that I bloody adore - writing.

l've been teaching breath & movement on fluidity for a couple of years now, as I believe that the vast majority of issues (at least mine), come from stagnation.

Stagnant body, mind, emotions. Pretty much anything.

A challenge in life need only be an obstacle to overcome, but when it becomes stuck, that's when it becomes a problem.

You can't sit with what is, until you can see what it is. You can't release what it is, until you feel & embrace what is.

In that process, you can become stuck to the point of rumination & that's when the movement stops.

So when you feel stuck & funky. Make your choice from the menu of movement.

& know that yoga in all its limbs, can support you in every phase.

This is a little reminder to be open to the opportunities that the world nudges your way.

You don't need all the answers & you have no control over the timeline that happens for the most part, the universe takes the lead on that one.

What you do need is to know where you'd like to end up & take steps in that direction.

This was the 21st February & before that day, l'd never considered opening a studio in town. In fact I was dead against it.

What I did know, is that I wanted to grow the brand & open another studio & l'd had in my head that the general timeline for that would be 3 years after opening the first & the third around 5 years.

I'd gone to meet a friend in town on this Wednesday & as I was walking towards the library, I was given sign upon sign, that town might be the right place to be. I sat in the library waiting for & made a call to Ben at & asked if there was anything I should look at. An hour later I messaged Edin as l'd decided Hockley was where l wanted to be. 15 minutes after that, Edin was showing me around the room, which I knew instantly was the place & asked him to hold it for me.

So within less than 2 hours, l'd gone from never having considered opening in town, to measuring up the room that will be Roar #2.

& next week when I get the keys, it'll be 2 weeks before my 3 year anniversary of opening Roar #1.

I don't like sharing things like this for the most part, because it sounds braggy & I don't want the universe to think I'm a dick & not keep bringing me these opportunities! But what I do want, is to give encouragement to you, to trust the process. Because it really bloody works.

Any day that reminds humans to celebrate love, is a good day in my eyes.

Take a minute today to stop, close your eyes, place your hand on your heart & breathe into that space. Let it expand & radiate out around you.

Love a little harder today & every day…it’s a superpower ❤️

Things we do subconsciously: breathe, think, walk, sit, eat, drink, talk.

Things we can consciously control: breath, thoughts, what we consume, movement, posture, words.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the things that I know that I can & should do, but I don’t.

It often feels difficult to choose something that is outside of the subconscious, because it feels HARD.

But know this my friend - you’re not making your life any easier by choosing the thing which takes a little initial effort.

Take the conscious & controlled choice & watch how much easier your life becomes, when that conscious better choice, because your subconscious reality.

I’ve sunk deep into a daily meditation practise & it’s filling my life in lots of ways.

It’s enabled focus, time for myself before my day starts, discipline, gratitude & internal nourishment. It’s become like food.

A simple focus for your meditation this morning, is to send out deep gratitude to all that nourishes your life

As much as I’m on board with the idea of creating the life you want, manifesting is such a w***y term for me & I could never use it in a sentence, without feeling like a total tool.

If you’re the same as me, then my tip is to change the language to be more about actions. Cultivating the life that you want to live, is far more me.

• What’s my goal? My focus?
• What am I concentrating on?
• What am I putting my energy into?
• Does that energy suit the direction I want to go in?
• Are my habits aligned with that goal? How can I create more habits that will help me to get to where I want to be?
• What am I doing day to day?
• What am I thinking?
• What am I feeling?
• Are the people around me supportive of my goals?
• Who can I add into my life, who will help me to get where I want to be?

These things are your daily habits, that add up to create the life that you want. So the only difficulty then, is deciding what you want…..which I know is easier said than done, when life pulls us in so many different directions all the time.

I find that the more I chase answers, the further away they get. Being still & cultivating a daily mindfulness practise is imperative, to enable to answers to come to me.

I’m putting this here, because it’s the most important thing I’ll say all week.

Don’t put celery, kiwi 🥝 or cucumber 🥒 into a smoothie. It will taste revolting & nobody’s here for food that’s disgusting.

I want to do more to contribute to the community’s health & happiness, so I have made my Wednesday morning class free ongoing.

It’s a class for any ability & if you have any physical restrictions, I’ll find a way to cater for that.

I’ll add more free classes as I get better & I’m physically able to do more.

I’m back teaching on the timetable from next week, with a 9.30am Wednesday morning nurturing class.

I took all of my classes down a couple of months ago & said that I didn’t have the time, but that wasn’t entirely accurate. I didn’t want to admit it to myself, as much as anyone else, but the main reason is that I’m pretty poorly at the moment with my autoimmune disease & I couldn’t physically teach. So this class is what I think I can teach, but it’s also what I’m really passionate about, so it’s a win win!

A class for those who feel like they’re burnt out & on the last string of their nervous system, or simply for those who need some love in a class.

Join me from next week ongoing from as little as £6 for a drop in.
