Join us for our Stay and Play sessions. First session is this Thursday and will run every Thursday during term time.
We have joined with Hoval, Newark to collect food/toiletry items that will be donated to Newark Food Bank for the Christmas period. As communicated in our previous newsletter, St. Peter's staff have suggested that the thoughtful gifts they usually receive at the end of term are to be substituted with an item for the Food Bank. We have our very own Food bank Grotto located in the new reception area in school and it would be amazing to fill this with as many items as we can. Items can include:
LONG LIFE MILK

Today, Jayne Saunders came into school to judge the amazing stones that children had decorated. She had to make some very tough decisions on who the winners should be - but in the end the winners were Y2 - Mary M , Layla C-H & Rosie I
Y3 - Carter H
Y4 - Myriam W
Y5 - Bobby E
Y6 - Kitty P
A huge well done to all our entries, the stones will be returned and can be used as a Jubilee home decoration.

Please be mindful if you drive your children to school, thank you.
We appreciate that on Sunday some children maybe staying up later than usual to support England in the Euro 2020 Final and as such will be tired and a little bleary eyed on Monday morning.
We would encourage you to get them up and send them to school on time. Teachers are planning a more relaxed Monday morning than usual; maybe with some celebratory activities on how well England have done after reaching their first major tournament final in 55 years.
Enjoy the football everyone - COME ON ENGLAND!!

Year 2 planting and sowing - a recommended activity for Mental Health Awareness Week.
As part of Mental Health Week Year 2 have been planting out their vegetables and sunflowers. We now have 66 radishes growing in our new garden raised beds as well as carrots, lettuces, beans and even sweetcorn and peas that were kindly donated by the Henderson family.
