🎉 Quality Assurance Visit 🎉⁣

I am so beyond proud to finally get to announce. That in my recent QA visit, I was graded OUTSTANDING!! ⁣
⁣
We had such a lovely day, a lovely inspector, and it was such a positive experience. ⁣
Sometimes, it can be a little daunting and nerve racking. Being extra prepared and having amazing children, definitely helped with the whole process. Plus with this being my third one, I felt more prepared this time. ⁣
⁣
Thank you to my amazing family and my little one’s families. For always being so supportive and kind. ⁣
⁣
Apparently I’m in the top 14% of childminders that are graded outstanding across the UK. So that’s also an amazing achievement. ⁣

🐟 Fish and Chip shop 🍟⁣
⁣
This morning we’ve been busy role playing fish and chip shops. As our theme this month is Summer and Under the sea, we decided to create something new in our mud kitchen. ⁣
⁣
The girls have been taking orders, cooking the fish and chips, making lemonade for the customers with the occasional added shell. ⁣
⁣
They’ve asked for money in the shop which we will put out next week. They’ve asked even shut the shop once they were out of fish. ⁣⁣

🎨 Art day 🎨⁣
⁣
Today we’ve had an art day. We wanted to create some art work, to hang in the new play cabin. (Once it’s finished) ⁣
⁣
They’ve all had their own canvas, they’ve picked the colours of paint they wanted. Along with the different tools and bits lying around. ⁣
They’ve used their hands, paint brushes, bubble wrap, lids from jelly pouches, lolly sticks, toilet roll tubes and some sponge rollers. ⁣
⁣
They’ve also used paint sticks to draw on the canvas once the other layers were dry. They’ve also had a go at splatting the paint. Which did get a little messy. ⁣
⁣
They now want to add some glitter to them. ⁣
⁣
This has been amazing for watching them explore art in a hands on way. Being creative and using a wide range of tools. ⁣
⁣
These will look amazing hung up! They are just as proud of their art as I am. ⁣
⁣

🔍 A morning at 🔍 ⁣
⁣
We’ve been to a lovely outdoor education space this morning. We’ve been busy exploring their lovely space and activities. The girls have played in the messy kitchen, small world area, car tracks, been bug hunting, making flower crowns, playing musical instruments, water play, and looking at the pond. ⁣
⁣
They had so much to do as well being able to just wonder and run around, with it all being enclosed. ⁣
At the end of the session they even had a go at toasting marshmallows and eating them. ⁣
⁣
It was such a lovely space, with lots going on which kept them busy and entertained. We’ll definitely be going back in the future. ⁣
⁣
They are also offering a childminder rate, which is amazing as not many places offer this. ⁣
⁣

I haven’t posted on here in a while. So here is a little view into our lives over the last few months.
Some of our learning, growing and exploring the world around us.

We’ve recently had our Quality Assurance visit. Which I cannot wait to share the outcome with you, once I am allowed.

It turns out this page has become a little neglected. I always remember to post on the other social media app, but I’ve forgotten this one.

Here are a few photos of what we have been up to over the start of this year. We’ve been getting out and about a bit more. To toddler groups, playgroups, the farm, lots of parks, the local shops and cafes.

We have also been doing a lot of child led play. Going off their interests and what they want to do.

Our Small wonders family is ever changing and growing, it’s nice to add a few new faces to the page.

🌼For children to learn how to keep themselves safe, healthy and to understand their emotions. ⁣
🌼To be confident enough to ask for help when they need it. ⁣
🌼For children to understand it’s important being you! Understanding their likes and dislikes and what they are passionate about. ⁣
🌼To become independent and school ready. ⁣
🌼But most importantly to have fun and be creative! ⁣
⁣
