Why do I need coaching I thought?
“I need someone to talk to. I’ve lost my inspiration”. These are the thoughts I couldn’t escape from back in 2018. Life was not meeting my expectations. I had a deep sense of being unfulfilled. Something was missing and my balance was off and therefore my leadership was failing. I had lost my purpose! I knew it wasn’t counselling. I knew I had the skills I needed
and that somewhere inside me was the spark I was missing. It wasn’t a mentor I needed (although I have been mentored and been a mentor many times). It was someone who could help me unlock myself; untie the knots and dig deep inside. Turns out it was a coach that I needed, and I was lucky enough to find a quite brilliant one. Over the next 3 years (and still now from time to time) we worked as a team on an amazing journey of discovery. Finding out things about myself that, although I once knew, had been pushed deep down inside. We opened doors to see what was inside. We created support from within; challenges to push me further; had wild ideas and found balance, purpose, and my spark! The learning and growing continues. In fact it never stops and I still have to dig deep to find the answers; check in with myself and my supporters; bend and change with life’s ongoing journey but coaching unlocked who I really am and what I wanted to contribute to the world and those in it. If any of this resonates with you then let’s talk! Joe Heap
About me:
THE ACTOR
I started life (well work life) as an actor and singer, developing my creative brain whilst learning to let go of life’s limiting inhibitions. I developed a keen sense of us humans,. Endless auditions, shows and performances brought to life a keen sense of how to connect; how to deliver a message, a story, an idea on a truly human level. Ultimately how to present myself, my ideas, my creativity in the most powerful way! THE LEADER
I moved into events planning and promotions after a brief but eye-opening carrier in high end Jewellery! 20 years later and with hundreds of events under my belt, I have met and worked with people from all over the world and in almost every field (sometimes in an actual field!). I have learnt leadership the hard way. Learnt from mistakes made. Learnt from burn out. And ultimately, learnt from success. THE TEACHER
Alongside these too careers I have always been a teacher of sorts; a sharer of knowledge and believer in inspiring and empowering others. Shared ideas, passions, and skills. From teaching circus skills, coaching voice and acting to working in Universities on creative projects around managing futures in the creative industries. To share what we know and what we have is what makes us who we are. THE COACH:
Training with the world leading Co-Active Training Institute and a member of The International Coaching Federation; to some extent I have always been a Coach (I just didn’t know it or how to unlock it for others). To coach is to share the space that allows others to find the best in them. To coach is to help others find the infinite possibilities of life. It pushes boundaries and helps you become aware of who you are and just what you can do. Think of the deepest conversation you ever had, but now have it with someone who will ask the difficult questions, help you dig deep into what you really want and help you unlock what is inside you that can make it possible.
