A bumper buddies Round up!

The past 10 days have been busy!
Mixing up terrain, distance, routes and meeting places.
Club runs, parkruns, marathon, half marathon and 10km training, our buddies are on it!
From the coast to the broads and North Walsham to the Great North Run!

Congratulations and well done to Craig who took part in the worlds largest half marathon Sunday
‘The Great North Run’. Craig loved the atmosphere and scenery and although it was very warm he smashed it plus raised almost £300 for the British Heart Foundation. 🎉🙌🏼🤩 Superb Craig 👏

10km around the city centre and not without those challenging hills!!

It was Imogen and Lindsey’s first Run Norwich and Duncans 9th! 🤩

Congratulations to Imogen and Michael on fantastic PB’s and to all our buddies, we are proud of you all.

A few Run Norwich 2026 stats

✨ over 8,000 runners participated!
✨ participant age range 7 to 87!
✨ sell out time 28 minutes!!
✨ over 600 wonderful volunteers

It really is a fantastic morning where the running community join together; clubs, families, friends and solo runners all part of such an amazing event!

August was Awesome 🤩
A bingo challenge, a virtual relay, milestones, distance and time PB’s, half marathons smashed and marathon training in full swing, North Walsham Epic and more…..

Huge congratulations to Sue, Lindsey and Carol who this week ran their first half marathon.
What a fantastic achievement ladies. 🙌🏼🎉🤩

They have trained hard and along with Karen, Christine, Tim, Chris and Michael they all completed the Sheepy Shuffle half marathon Tuesday with the support of several buddies running / cycling the last few miles alongside them. 👏🎉🤩

Saturday we did our annual Birthday virtual relay. It was amazing. 80km was the goal, 263.48km was the result! 🤩

Finally we set our runners an August challenge!! Well done to all of you who got a full house / lines BINGO!

RunBuddies roundup!

Plenty to applaud and celebrate again this week! 👏🎉

This month we set our runners a challenge to commemorate the clubs 8th Birthday!
The Birthday Bingo - Tuesday they conquered the bottom right hand corner! (Track training intervals)
Brilliant effort buddies. 💪

The session prepared them for the North Walsham Epic 5km rescheduled from flaming June 🥵 to downpour August ☔️ 🤣.
What a fantastic evening, everyone did amazingly and Mandy crossed the finish line with an impressive PB!
Well done to all our runners you certainly deserved the bubbles 🥂 afterwards.
Thank you to our supporters and cheerleaders too; it certainly spurred us on hearing your encouraging words en route and at the finish line. 🙏🏼

What a journey our runners are having.
Every one of our runners enjoying their own journey, sometimes solo but more often with their buddies.
Lots of support and encouragement for each other along the way.

The RunBuddiesRoundup!’

Just when we thought things were a little bit quieter this week with no North Walsham parkrun due to the beer festival and it being hot hot 🔥 🥵 our runners have been very active and still achieving! 🎉

Water has been a big feature this
week! 🌊 💦 😀

Our Tuesday evening club run was 🥵 (28 degrees) so the coast called us again!
So refreshing to run by the sea and lots of options for our runners to choose their distance and their pace. They did brilliantly. ☀️ 🤩

Fiona and Paula enjoyed going over to Wells to take part in the FunRun and were parkrun tourists this week at Blickling. Amazing ladies well done. 👏🎉🤩

Victoria sent us a picture of beautiful Lake Windermere where she enjoyed her run this morning. What a stunning location for a run. 😍

Congratulations to Chris and Sue who this week ran their furthest distance. Chris preparing for his first marathon and Sue for her first half marathon. What achievements especially in the heat 🔥.👏👊

Some of our runners ran from Blakeney to Cromer Saturday, as part of their marathon training, and enjoyed a well deserved dip afterwards🌊 . Well done ladies and gents. 👏🤩

Congratulations to Georgia who today ran her longest distance and first half marathon 🙌🏼 - The Sheepy Shuffle virtual half. We are looking forward to a photo of Georgia wearing her well deserved medal. What an achievement 🤩👏

Our RunBuddies Roundup 🎉

Celebrating our amazing runners achievements this week.

Club run was a regular for some and a new route for many.
It was another 🔥 hot one so tbe decision to stay close to the coast was greatly welcomed.
With lots to see en route from pretty country lanes, a Church tucked away, harvesting in full swing, wild flowers on footpaths and tbe beach 🏝️our runners paced well and enjoyed the countryside at its best.
Some even had time to sit, relax and refresh 😄.

A huge well done to Ali who completed her 100th parkrun!
She had lots of support from fellow buddies but also her brother Graham who was the Run Director and her son Michael who superbly paced her.
What an achievement 🎉🤩

Congratulations also to Craig who knocked 3 minutes off his parkrun best. Well done on your PB Craig.👏 👊

Nina and Michael were parkrun tourists enjoying Dublin and Holbrook this week. Well done to you both. 👏👏

Congratulations and well done to Brigitte who smashed the Snetterton 10km event in boiling 🥵 conditions!🤩👏

Plus many runners have buddied up continuing training for their upcoming events or just to run, chat and enjoy the countryside and a coffee afterwards! 😊

We have a little challenge for August about to be revealed to our runners! It’s our 8th year so 8 plays a key role in the challenge!
