We have two vacancies for teaching staff for September 2026. We would like to recruit an outstanding part-time teacher (40%) for Year 2 and a full time maternity cover teacher for Year 3.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Local Governing Board (LGB) here at the Angel Road Schools. It is an interesting and rewarding voluntary role, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to life at our school.

You don’t need any education experience as you will work alongside an educational specialist on the board – more important is the ability to exercise common sense and work together with others to provide support and challenge to school leaders.

The children are really getting involved in our OPAL project (Outdoor Play and Learning). We are giving different opportunities for play at lunchtime with Lego, small world, music and playground chalks. There is much more to come over the next 18 months! Today, Infant and Juniors have had a great time working together with the chalks and enjoyed making hand print art. More information on OPAL can be found here: https://outdoorplayandlearning.org.uk/

Poplars Primary School hosted a vibrant multi‑school debating and oracy event on 10th February, bringing together pupils from across our Trust.

This full‑day enrichment experience was designed to help pupils develop essential communication skills, including critical thinking, vocal confidence, teamwork and the ability to articulate ideas clearly and respectfully.

Throughout the event, pupils took part in four interactive learning stations, each led by a specialist teacher. These workshops focused on different aspects of oracy, from speaking and listening to developing confidence through games, storytelling and structured debate.

We were so proud of how Angel Road Pupils represented our school, and they all thoroughly enjoyed the day.
