Puddleducks Pre-school is a community-based Pre-school, offering exceptional childcare to children aged 18 months to 4 and a half years old.

Puddleducks Preschool is an Ofsted registered preschool which has been part of the Mulbarton community since 1991, offering early years education and care to the children of families from Mulbarton and surrounding villages. Puddleducks has a large indoor environment which offers many different play and learning opportunities and it boasts a large outdoor area where children can access freely the different learning opportunities that the outdoor environment affords. Puddleducks has a team of highly qualified and experienced staff who work closely with their key children and their families in a nurturing, secure and safe environment that allows for learning through play, modelling language, scaffolding their learning by encouraging the children to ask questions, take risk and learn through a trial and error approach.

Bees' Needs Champions Awards are widely considered highly prestigious in the environmental and conservation sectors. Run annually by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) in the UK, these awards are deeply respected because they represent formal, top-level government recognition for outstanding work in protecting pollinators.

Sarah and Leanne have been to today to accept the award from the Minister of Nature Mary Creagh CBE MP.

We are incredibly proud that Puddleducks has been recognised as one of 63 groups by DEFRA for our commitment to creating habitats in the Puddleducks garden that support bees and other pollinators, while providing meaningful learning opportunities for our preschool children. Puddleducks was the only early years setting to receive this award today.

This recognition celebrates the work we do to create a thriving, pollinator-friendly environment where children can explore, discover, and understand the vital role that bees and other pollinators play in our ecosystems. Through hands-on gardening, observing wildlife, and caring for our outdoor spaces, our children develop a deep appreciation for nature and learn how they can help protect it.

It is a fantastic achievement and reflects the enthusiasm, curiosity, and care our children show for the natural world every day. We are delighted that their efforts, alongside those of our dedicated staff, have been recognised, and we look forward to continuing to nurture both wildlife and young environmental champions at Puddleducks.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our 35th Anniversary Celebrations today! 💙

What a fantastic event it was! It was wonderful to see so many families and so many familiar faces from Puddleducks, past and present. Thank you all for helping us celebrate this very special milestone.

How amazing was it to have a visit from Lightning McQueen? 🚗✨ A huge thank you to Lightning Events for making the day so memorable.

A special thank you to Gabriella and Alin Radu's Keswick Cafe for providing the wonderful catering throughout the event – it was absolutely delicious!

Puddleducks Preschool has been generously gifted this amazing handmade table and two matching benches, lovingly crafted from reclaimed timber by Matt at The Rustic Garage.

🎟️ This stunning set could be yours! Simply purchase a raffle ticket at the Puddleducks Summer Fayre for your chance to win.

If you're unable to join us at the Summer Fayre but would still like the opportunity to enter, simply place your £10 ticket payment in a sealed envelope, clearly marked for the raffle and hand it in to Puddleducks. We will purchase your ticket for you and ensure it is enyinyo the draw. If you are unable to do any of the above then please pop Puddleducks a message and we will be happy to share details of how you can pay via a BACS transfer.

💷 Tickets are £10 per entry.

We have just 100 tickets available, and the prize draw will take place once they have all been sold.
If all 100 tickets are sold before or during the Summer Fayre. The draw will take place on the afternoon of 11th July. If there are still a few tickets remaining after the fayre, sales will continue, and the draw will take place on 17th July.
