🍎 **National Thank a Teacher Day** 🍎

Today we celebrate and recognise the incredible work of our teachers and school staff.

Over the past few days, many of our children, parents and families have shared an overwhelming amount heartfelt messages of thanks, recognising the care, dedication and support our staff provide every day. We have included just a small selection of those comments in the poster below. All messages that you have sent will be shared with staff.

Teaching is an incredibly demanding profession. Every day, our staff go above and beyond to inspire, nurture, challenge and support children, often working tirelessly behind the scenes, plus during their evenings and weekends to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

We are enormously grateful for the commitment, passion and kindness shown by all of our staff, and we would also like to thank our families for taking the time to share such thoughtful messages.

To all our teachers and school staff – thank you for everything you do. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom and makes a lasting difference to the lives of our children every single day. ❤️

🎉🏃‍♀️ What a fantastic start to our sporting events! 🏃‍♂️🎉

Today, our Reception classes kicked things off in style with a fun-filled morning of activities! The children showed so much enthusiasm as they took part in hurdling, bean bag throwing, the egg and spoon race, and football. There were smiles, cheers, and plenty of excitement all around!

It was especially lovely to see the children proudly showing their parents the skills they’ve been learning in their P.E. lessons — such a special moment for everyone involved. We are so proud of their confidence, teamwork, and brilliant effort! 🌟

We can’t wait to continue the fun and host the rest of our year groups for their sporting events. Let the games continue! 🎽🥇

Our wonderful 4F class has been celebrating Pride by creating a vibrant display all about the things that make us proud. 🌈

Working together, the children created beautiful rainbow collages that reflect their individuality and creativity. Showing that everyone belongs, and that our differences are what make our community stronger. 💛

Today, all of our children had the fantastic opportunity to work with , learning the songs their year groups will perform at Big Fest! 🎶✨
A huge thank you to for raising the funds to make this special experience possible for our pupils.

On Friday, our children created beautiful Hearts of Hope for Refugee Week, each one filled with thoughtful messages about kindness, compassion, and acts of hope. 💛

These inspiring messages are now on display at The Forum this week, why not pop along and see if your child can spot their own? 🌍✨

Our Year 5 pupils had a fantastic opportunity today to develop their skills and learn how to become Sports Leaders for our school! 🏅😊

🌟 What Our Sport Leaders Do 🌟
Our Sport Leaders play an important role in supporting physical activity and wellbeing across the school. They help to organise and lead fun games at playtimes and lunchtimes, encourage younger pupils to get active, and promote teamwork, fairness, and sportsmanship. 🏃‍♀️⚽
They build confidence, develop leadership skills, and act as positive role models for others. We’re looking forward to the energy, responsibility, and enthusiasm they will bring to making sport enjoyable for everyone! 👏💪

Day 2 of Year 6 Residential
Despite a very wet day yesterday, it certainly didn’t dampen the spirits of our Year 6 children!

They threw themselves into another action-packed day, taking part in more abseiling, high ropes, and team-building activities. In the evening, they enjoyed a fantastic silent disco—which was a big hit with everyone!

A brilliant day full of fun, challenge, and smiles all around!

On Friday 12th June, our Bignold Family Hub will be hosting a coffee morning for Bignold families to celebrate Norwich Refugee Week and to offer Bignold families the opportunity to complete their own personal message of solidarity on Orange Heart cards. These messages will be collected and included in the display next week at The Forum. The coffee morning will be open from 8.30am and will be run from the school Dining Hall.
