UEA reunion alumni 1997-2001

2025 reunion for UEA students in attendance from 1997-2001. Stay in accommodation on the main campus and catch up with old friends. Weekend 27/28 June 2025.

It’s almost 1 year since the reunion on campus and what a weekend it was! It was filled with so much fun and nostalgia that we are in the midst of finalising a date and organising another one for June 2027. I’m wondering how we will top last year’s event (short of making it a week long or re enrolling for another 3 years) but we have a few ideas.

The accommodation office has confirmed the accommodation already and the ENTS team are also involved again, so here’s to the next reunion at UEA in 2027.

For students in attendance at the University of East Anglia 1997-2001.

To celebrate 30 years since joining UEA…..

As our first reunion back on campus in June was what can only be described as a huge success, I’ve been asked to organise another one. A date for June/July 2027 is being looked into. I will keep you all posted on here.

If you’re up for coming again, or weren’t able to make it last time but want to join us in 2027, please feel free to put a comment below so everyone else can see who is interested. As soon as people know they’re not the only ones coming places fill fast!

I am liaising with the accommodation team and SU/Ents department to make the next reunion just as good, if not better than the first 😊

Before we left for home, some of us who had lived in the Village took a stroll back to where it all began. 28 years since we moved in when it was relatively new….we were the third cohort of students to stay there. It looked a bit tired but still mostly the same. Alan the van man was no longer parked in the centre in his ice cream van (selling just about everything a student could ever need…from actual ice cream to baked beans, beer and other illicit substances apparently! 🤭). E scooters took up space where the bikes once were….that would have been carnage on the way back from the LCR riding one of those. Lots of maintenance was going on ready to welcome the new students arriving in September 2025. Many fond memories of all the fun and fab times had there by us ‘Village people’. . Already planning the next campus reunion!
